Does lowering screen resolution would help the load on cpu/gpu?

It's an old phone: https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_9t-10670.php

I'm wondering if I set it to low like 720p it would improve on some games performance. I tried floating window and split screen, game ui seems fine and responsive but it seems it can't detect if I rotate the screen (part of the game) and I have to reverse it back to full screen mode. I can't tell much of the performance due to this rotate issue.

I want to know if it does help. I've read I can do it with adb commands either the app or the whole phone, though might have some issues (bootloop, unresponsive screen, etc)?

Help testing, need to check first which can run this game. Poco M7 / Redmi Note 14

Both non-Pro version, I'm pretty much tight on budget. I want to know if someone can test this game https://youtu.be/-fuVCf3pbcA?si=Ij_MWOCsAjeIA_Y8 if any of these phones can run it smoothly at least on High settings and preferably on Max settings on it's MV settings, also if run with a screen recorder.

If both can run it smoothly probably I will go for M7 for the huge battery. Though I want other's thought about it too, cause I read Note 14 would have longer support and stronger chipset that might be better on this kind of gameplay and battery strain.

Download link: https://idolypride.jp/game/ there's link to its playstore version but need VPN to install it initially, for other downloads it can be turn off.

Thanks,
