Anyone got tips on things I should know on my PP?

Also a few questions:

  1. I am unable to remove the previous owners from the Toyota profile of my car and make myself the primary driver even after linking via the Toyota app.

Edit: I found another reddit thread suggestion which worked for me. You just have to email backoffice@toyotaconnected.com with the VIN no. of the car in the subject line. In the email, also add that you would like to reset the profile along with 1. Driver's full name, 2. Address, 3. Phone number 4. Attached copy of Ownership or Purchase agreement, 5. Attached copy of driving license of the primary driver. I got a response in under an hour with an email stating that the profile was refreshed and I could register again.

  1. Toyota homelink does not seem to be getting setup using my apartment building's key fob.

Anyone got tips for how to get this fixed + anything related to the "must know" things as a PP owner is appreciated!

Looking for advice on how to best maximize efficiency while driving?

Hello,

I've a 2025 Prius Plugin XSE Premium getting delivered tomorrow. I've test driven the vehicle a lot but id still love some inputs from experienced drivers of the new XSE premium on how to maximize my efficiency. Here's what my week looks like normally:

  1. Drive to work 27km one way (mix of highway + city) and return for a total of 54km --- 3 days a week

  2. Drive to my sports club about 20km one way and return for a total of 40km (mostly highway driving) --- 2 days a week

From the above I am anticipating an average of under 250km per week.

What mode should I drive in ? Should I just leave it on Auto and let the car do it's thing? Need advice as I've never owned a Plug in hybrid before.

First car purchase - car dealer says 9.99% car loan APR via RBC?

Hi, i recently purchased a used Toyota from a Volkswagon dealership. They normally go via RBC and I got approved with a 820+ credit score but the interest rate is quite high (9.99%).

Is this because this is my first car purchase ?

Are there alternative ways for me to borrow money at a lower interest rate? I would love some advice. Thanks

Edit: Called the dealer and "threatened" to buy the car off with Cash and they replied saying "We can make you a special offer and work out if we can come down to 6%. Let's talk in person".

Freaking car dealers are crooks these days.
