How do you know if the meds kicked in? What do you feel?

I've been taking Concerta for a while now, but I'm honestly not sure if it's working the way it's supposed to.

For those of you who take Concerta, how do you know when the medication has kicked in? What does it actually feel like for you?

Do you notice a clear change in focus, motivation, energy, or your thoughts? Is it something obvious, or more subtle that you only realize later in the day?

I'm curious because I don't get a strong "feeling" from it, and I'm wondering if that's normal or if I should discuss my dosage with my doctor.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Wellbutrin + Concerta and I don't feel anything

Has anyone else had no benefit at all from both Wellbutrin and Concerta?

I've been taking Wellbutrin XR 150 mg for about a month, and recently my doctor increased my dose to 300 mg because I wasn't noticing any improvement. Now it's my 10th day on 300mg XR

At the same time, we added Concerta 36 mg, but honestly, I don't feel any different. No increase in focus, motivation, energy, or mood. I don't even have noticeable side effects like insomnia, anxiety, or appetite suppression. Only thing I noticed that my BP goes to 90-100

I'm starting to wonder if these medications just don't work for me, or if I haven't given them enough time yet.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Did a higher dose eventually help, or did you need to switch medications entirely? Thank you!

When will I "feel it working"?

I've been taking Wellbutrin XL (bupropion) 150 mg for 25 days and yesterday my dose was increased to 300 mg.

The thing is, I don't feel anything at all. No positive effects, but also no side effects. No insomnia, anxiety, increased heart rate, tremor, extra energy, motivation, or anything else people often mention.

Is this normal? Has anyone else had a delayed response to Wellbutrin and eventually started noticing benefits after several weeks on 300 mg?

I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and timelines.

Concerta 36mg

Hello,

I recently started my ADHD journey. I was 2 weeks on concerta 18mg and we upped the dose to 36mg. Honestly I'm not feeling anything, but when i tried 2x18 it was harder hit so I'm not sure if this is medication for me or I should try higher dosage. I'm new to adhd journey so like honestly I don't know a lot. Could it be due to sleep? I have sleep problems and barely get 7 hours of sleep each night, could that affect medication?

Did anyone try Concerta and Wellbutrin (Buproprion) together?

Hello everyone,

I started my Concerta (36mg) journey a month ago and honestly it has been a very good ride. I noticed that I get used to the medication very fast. My GB decided to add Wellbutrin as a "booster" and said it works very well with stimulant medication but it takes a few weeks to start working.

Does anyone have experience in taking the medication?

Hello everyone,

A little background about me. Im 23M 185cm, 120kg. A while ago I was diagnosed with ADHD Combined type. I have been taking blood pressure medication to lower pressure and pulse. My routine is that I take the meds 2-3 hours before Concerta 18mg, not sure if thats good. What bothers me is that I dont feel any effects from Concerta. It's been 8 days. The first day was honestly okay but others it was like me taking a candy lol.

I eat and after 30 minutes take Concerta around 9:30am. Ofc I have protein rich breakfast.

I have been wondering am I doing something bad, should I take the concerta first then BP meds?

Also any new suggestions are welcomed :)
