Weight loss hypnotherapy apps / advice ?

Hello everyone - I’ve been looking into hypnosis for weight loss. I’ve been up and down in weight my adult life. Currently at my heaviest and miserable. I can’t seem to keep on track of my plan. Wondered if hypnosis could be something to explore.

Wondered if anyone had experience with an apps - this would be ideal for cost and working around my schedule, but if they’re genuinely no good some advice on one to one sessions would be greatly appreciated.
UK based, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance x

Going into 5th medicated cycle, now with added trigger shot due to large follicles - success stories?

Hello all,

TTC 18months, recent PCOS diagnosis. Taking metformin to hopefully help.

I am about to start my 5th medicated cycle, I’ve had a bit rocky road so far with the medicate cycles, some history below - set up so far has been letrozole, natural ovulation (no trigger shot), timed intercourse & cyclogest after ovulation for these 4 cycles.

Cycle 1: 5mg letrozole CD 3-7, produced 3 mature follicles, no pregnancies

Cycle 2: altered dose to 2.5mg letrozole (as produced too many follicles on 5mg ) taken CD3-7, produced 30mm follicle on CD11 scan, follow up scan on CD18 showed corpus luteum so it did rupture, no pregnancy.

Cycle 3: 2.5mg letrozole taken CD 3-7, no scans this month so unsure on follicle size. Positive pregnancy 8DPO onwards, test started to get lighter, eventually resulted in a chemical.

Cycle 4: 2.5mg letrozole taken CD3-7, CD14 34mm follicle (huge!), follow up scan on CD22 showed corpus luteum so it did rupture (this scan also showed another 28mm on the other ovary) on 11DPO and no sign of a positive test yet.

NHS can’t fund a trigger shot for me, and there isn’t a lower letrozole dosage so I’m going to do a private monitored cycle at my local fertility clinic (for an eye watering price 🥺).

Due to massive follicles in my prev cycle and this random 28mm follicle in my last scan, the private clinic will look at doing the following:
baseline scan CD 2-3 to see what that 28mm follicle is doing, 2.5mg letrozole (assuming CD 3-7?), scan CD 8 to check size of follicles, trigger shot when needed, timed intercourse, + any addition scans required.

Anyone else experienced this repeatedly large follicles? Did your treatment plan change at all?

Anyone had success following previous letrozole cycles with large follicles?

any words of wisdom or hope to share?

Thanks in advance ❤️

TTC letrozole 2.5mg 34mm follicle CD14 - help

Hello everyone,
Looking for some advice / experiences around large follicles and outcomes.
Some context: UK based, 32 y/o, bmi 30, TTC for a year. PCOS diagnosis from ‘string of pearls’ on ovaries during scan.
Under NHS fertility unit and prescribed letrozole, take cyclogest 400mg pessaries during LP.

Cycle 1 on letrozole, 5mg taken CD 3-7, Over stimulated and produced 3 mature follicles. (22mm right ovary, 20mm & 17mm left ovary) 0 pregnancies

Cycle 2 dose reduced to 2.5mg taken CD3-7. Was scanned around CD 11, follicle was 30mm+ (can’t recall exact measurement) clinic nurses concerned it was too large and may turn into a cyst. From OPKs i had LH surge on CD11 and presumably ovulated CD12. I went back around 7 days later, it had popped and become a corpus Luteum with a ‘ring of fire’ which is apparently good, cycle resulted in no pregnancy.

Cycle 3 continued with 2.5 mg letrozole dosage CD3-7. No scans as clinic were now doing unmonitored scans as happy with dosage. LH peaked CD 12, assuming ovulation took place CD 13. I did fall pregnant, however resulted in a chemical pregnancy.

Cycle 4 (this current cycle) continued with 2.5mg letrozole CD3-7, LH surge on CD 13 around 5pm . Had monitored scan on CD14 at 7:40am , follicle measuring 34mm - not ruptured yet. Clinic said it is very large and may result in a cyst. Follow up scan will be next Tuesday CD22 to see if it popped and became corpus luteum or turned into a cyst.

I’m obviously pretty devastated as was clinging onto hope of another pregnancy following a loss, but from googling it’s looking like 34mm is just too big, with an over matured and non viable egg. Am I totally out this cycle if it does rupture?

Has anyone had positive experiences with a 34mm follicle?

Also, if the 2.5mg letrozole is consistently producing 30mm+ follicles, is it right to carry on? Or just a waste of precious time? I have asked about trigger shots so I can ovulate when the follicle is optimum size, but they said they don’t (routinely) offer them in my clinic. The nurse said she would discuss with the consultant following my scan next week, I’ve got 2 cycle examples where they’ve been over 30mm, and 0 viable pregnancies, so thinking it should be reviewed.

Any help, tips, advice, experiences etc would be greatly appreciated. I’m red eyed and feeling incredibly defeated. X

Forever on and off the weight loss journey. Looking for advice / help - hypnosis feedback?

Hello everyone, I am a 32 y/o female, 173cm tall and around 90kg based in the UK. I have been on ‘diets’ for as long as I can remember, and have always had a poor relationship with food.
I was an overweight child and my family put a lot of emphasis around weight (mum constantly called herself fat and would go between binge eating and extreme food restriction, dad had obsessional behaviours with exercise and weight gain). My weight is something I have thought about every day of my life. It’s always the subject that’s constantly discussed or criticised within my family, and I’ve grown up conditioned to believe it is the most important focal point people will comment on (through learnt behaviour) Sadly, even as an adult, it’s more often than not the first thing I notice in other people. It’s really impacted my definition of my self worth and led to me having a lot of therapy around how my weight doesn’t define who I am as a person etc etc. that’s enough sob story and emotional background info.

I have been on every programme or diet you can think of, some were successful - like during lockdown down I lost over 2 stone calorie counting & exercising. But over the years that followed, it slowly but surely creeped back on as I simply didn’t have the time to work out and weigh absolutely everything when I returned back to work (I was on furlough so had a lot of free time!). I also saw success taking mounjaro, but as soon as I stopped, I gained weight back and now weigh more than when I started taking it. I do have a massive all or nothing mentality and find it difficult to just tick along without becoming obsessed, which becomes quite unhealthy for me. I just find myself loosing control and binging out on food then ‘restarting’ the next day only for it to happen all over again. I can’t seem to find the motivation and will power to be consistent, which is really impacting me mentally.

I am now in a position where I would benefit with losing around 2 stone to help with some health concerns. Also, it’s pretty sad that non of my clothes fit me anymore and it’s impacting my mental health quite a lot. A bit of a duel motivation here.

I wanted to know if anyone had tried any of the hypnosis apps? Or has anyone actually managed to break the cycle and push through to find a healthier relationship with food, and a healthier body?

I’ve never posted anything about my weight anywhere online, so sorry if it’s a bit jumbled and long winded. Fingers crossed someone can help, thanks for reading my essay.

Side note, I am awaiting an ADHD and autism assessment, wondering (if a diagnosis is concluded) if these could potentially be impacting my thoughts and relationship towards food and being consistent.

Recommendations for UK women’s walking trainers with a wide fit

Hey, hope this is okay to post.
I’m looking for some wide fit walking trainers - walking will be outdoors mainly on paths / tracks and also treadmill in the gym.
I have a wide foot that seems to be very sensitive to blisters. Any standard trainer previously (Nike etc) has always resulted in a blister. I’m not 100% sure on my width measurement, I’m still scarred by the childhood trauma of being told I was ‘off the scale’ in Clarks.
I don’t have a ‘flat foot’ but I would say I have a low arch - shoes like Birkenstocks with quite high arches do tend to cause discomfort for me.
I’m also cursed with a UK 8 / EUR 42 size - although when the width is actually right, I could well be a 7 or 7.5.
If anyone has had any good wide fit trainers that will suit my walking needs, please do share!

Thanks so much

Slow easy@home line progression no beta tests yet. Any advice?

Hi all, hope this is okay to post, I’m more of an observer than a massive contributor on Reddit so here goes…

Context: UK based, TTC for over a year, taking letrozole 2.5mg with NHS and cyclogest 400mg pessaries after 3DPO (private prescription) , second cycle of 2.5mg letrozole dose, first positive test result ever experienced, currently 17DPO

I got my first very very very faint positing at 9DPO with a FRER (used LH strips to track ovulation) and positives continued the next day on FRER (slightly darker) and had first positive at 10DPO ON easy@home testing strips, they’ve gradually been getting a bit darker as the days pass. (Gradually aka extremely slowly)

I did a clear blue test on 13DPO and it showed pregnant 1-2 weeks.

I’ve continued testing with just the cheap easy@home tests just to check I’m
a) still pregnant as I still can’t believe it
b) things are progressing okay until my early viability scan on 30th July.

I’m concerned because my easy@home tests aren’t getting very dark, I’ve seen some others only and they are much darker than mine for the DPO stated.

Attached an image (some tests are missing)
I am using FMU for each test.

Does anyone have any insight? Concerned it is a Chemical or ectopic.

Had quite a strong cramp this earlier that left me keeled over until it passed (lasted approx 30secs) and some twinges on the right side but not super strong stabbing pains or anything like that.

Thanks in advance, I know you guys will come through with lots of support.

Will post image in comments.
