I'd like to know if I'm doing something to help my cat, or if what I'm doing isn't helping much and is just stressing her out unnecessarily.

I brush her teeth every other day. I mainly use a finger brush (the kind with silicone bristles all over), and I use the regular toothbrush very little because she doesn't like it much and keeps opening her mouth. I use both together in the same brushing session. I brush for as long as she lets me without getting too stressed (about 30 or 40 seconds total. 10 or 15 seconds on each side of her mouth using the finger brush, and about 5 or 8 seconds with a regular toothbrush on each side). I've tried brushing every day, but she gets much more stressed, so I'm sticking to every other day. I also use Virbac enzymatic toothpaste.

I'd like to know if the frequency and time I'm brushing, and the tools (mainly using a finger brush and only a little bit of a regular toothbrush) really helps
