My hair is fine, low porosity, tangles easily, and I lose a lot of it when washing 😔. Most shampoos either leave it feeling too squeaky clean or cause buildup. Does anyone with a similar hair type have shampoo and conditioner recommendations?
Why do people pretend they don’t eat a lot of meat
I've noticed a lot of people say things like, "I barely eat meat" or "I choose vegan options sometimes," but when they're actually given the chance to eat a vegan meal, they usually go back to meat. I don't think they're being dishonest; I think many people like the idea of eating less meat more than they actually want to change their habits. Their identity is often more flexible than their behavior.
What are some "secret" skincare tricks/products that almost feel illegal to know?
Thought this could be a fun discussion.
I always love finding out about random skincare tips or products that somehow aren't common knowledge but end up being total game changers.
Could be a product, ingredient, habit, technique or anything else that gave you surprisingly good results.
I've been vegan for 15 years, and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Before going vegan, I had a family tendency toward high cholesterol, and it was something I was concerned about from a young age. Over the years, a well-planned vegan diet has helped me maintain healthy cholesterol levels and take better care of my overall health.
One of the biggest changes I've noticed is my immune system. I rarely get sick, and when I do, I usually recover quickly. Of course, everyone's experience is different, but for me, focusing on whole plant foods has made a noticeable difference.
I also try to limit added sugar and usually have it no more than once or twice a week. Instead, I satisfy my sweet tooth with fruit. My daily diet is built around fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds.
Some of my favorite foods are berries, apples, citrus fruits, leafy greens, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, lentils, chickpeas, oats, brown rice, walnuts, almonds, and flaxseeds. These foods make me feel energized, satisfied, and healthy.
Fifteen years later, I have no regrets. Veganism has helped me develop healthier habits, become more mindful about what I eat, and maintain a lifestyle that makes me feel my best.
