Activities and groups for new moms with babies?

Looking for activities in the valley to do with baby and ways to meet/connect with other moms or first time parents.

Any mommy/parent and me classes, mommy and me yoga/pilates, walking groups, or any other activities for new moms and babies that are only a few months old. Also interested in things my husband can do and participate in as well!

Thank you!

Is the 6-8 week regression real and does it really only last 3 weeks?

My LO started having crying fits and complete inability to nap at exactly 5 weeks old. She is officially 7 weeks old as of yesterday and last night was the worst night to date, even worse than when she was just born. She slept collectively 2 hours the whole night and wasn’t even hungry, it was so challenging to console her.

I am wondering if this is the 6-8 week regression I keep hearing about and if so, if we really only have a week left of this. (Also she was born 1 week late so wondering if that’s why this pattern started at 5 weeks or if that’s just a coincidence).

For anyone else that’s gone through this, when did it start and how many weeks did it last? Is there anything you did that made the days/nights easier or is there nothing we could do?

It’s not just the lack of sleep or inability to plan our days because of the unpredictability of her temperament, it’s seeing her so upset and uncomfortable and not being able to fully console her that is absolute torture.

Best picnic spot in LA?

Planning on taking the family (including a baby) to a park or some type of outdoor space for a picnic.

Would love a place that's close to some good food to pick up beforehand (sandwiches, a coffee shop, anything quick and easy but still tasty), and is clean and good vibes, and has some shady areas.

Bonus points if it's also near a cool neighborhood with things to walk around or see before/after but not necessary.

Would love to hear people's favorite go to spots?
