I have a few opportunities and the price of the booths ranges a lot. Just wondering if people have had positive experiences and positive ROI with this type of method?

I am looking for Ontario, Canada business owners, email and direct number (cell number or direct). I have been buying some in small amounts and I am wondering what the cost is looking like to buy a larger amount in bulk?
So I am a new advisor. I am a bit older and I have some experience in the finance industry. I spent years as an analyst and in the middle office. Now I have transitioned to become an advisor on a commission basis. I am selling life insurance and mutual funds.
I have 3 strategies for getting clients and it's going a bit slow. The only current clients are close friends. I have been at it for 6 months.
Cold Calling - I am trying to make at least 300 calls per week. I have had a few meetings with limited success. Some were unqualified (no assets, some do it themselves) and some didn't keep their appointment, etc. I also getting a lot of Robo Call screeners.
Seminars - I have just started this. I am paying about $1200 a seminar. I am working on getting the cost down. I got 3 potential clients that ended up not becoming clients. All 3 were asking for quotes but were shopping around.
Networking - I am networking, some meetings with COIs, but no one has referred me anything yet. I am also attending networking events and I try to get 2 meeting out of each event. This is where I am meeting COIs.
What else would you add to my list of activities?
I have recently had a few virtual networking meetings and they have felt very awkward. I am not an awkward person.
Any advice or tips or best practices? I am the one making the ask in these scenarios. I am trying to be as engaged/interested as possible but I feel like I am bother the person taking the meeting.

The platform would get the advisor ready to make a few podcasts on their platform and they have a system and some guarantees involved.

Newer agent here, I am just learning about the tax strategy where a business owner buys a life insurance policy on themselves in a par fund. The fund grows and the cash value builds up. The company can borrow against the cash value of the policy 70 - 90% and then the owner can borrow from the company (I have heard the company just charge 1% or is it 1% above what it borrows at?) and now the owner has access to the funds personally. There are no tax implications here. What did I miss? Can someone clarify what I have missed or is this is entirely correct?
I am getting asked a lot of more nuisanced questions that I am unsure about.
I am having annoying problems with Google Forms (People need to have a google account, very annoying). I am using Jot Forms, but I guess I email them from my Gmail with a link, but then I won't be able to see who said what. If I use the other option on Jot, then they have to create an account.
I want a cost effective survey that I can send to them, where I can see their response without them having to create an account. What do people suggest I use?

I am Co-hosting a seminar on Wills and Estates. The lawyer is going to be speaking for 20 - 30 minutes. I need to speak for 10 - 15 minutes (can go a slightly longer) on a topic that someone coming to hear about Wills and Estates would value from a financial planning aspect or life insurance aspect.
The topics that I am considering are
- Discussion of taxes and probate and the need for some liquidity
Retirement, Taxes & Your Estate
- Tax efficient wealth transfer - RRSPs, RRIFs, Cottages, etc.
Building a Complete Estate Plan
- Financial Advisor handles Insurance, Investments, Estate Liquidity, Tax planning
If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I am open to it. It's my first seminar, I am hoping to partner with more lawyers and accountants and produce more seminars. Other Advisors that I am friendly with did them years ago and got clients, but their materials are out of date/not relevant or on completely different topics.
I have been cold calling a lot to try and get clients. The biggest objection that I face often is "I already have an advisor and I'm happy with them."
My only rebuttal is "I would expect someone in your situation to have an advisor. I often speak to people and we go through their financial plan and I find deficiencies. Are you open to a short zoom call to see if there are any deficiencies in your plan?"
It has a zero success rate. So obviously I need to do something else. What do you say to someone that says they already have an advisor? I also feel that because the markets have been doing well the past few years, it's tougher to find someone who is not happy with their advisor.
So I am running an event in person to bring in clients. The event is published on eventbrite. One of the options as I am going through the event creation is to advertise on facebook. The setup is so dumb and complex. I have to create an ad account and a business page and a lot of other garbage. All I want to do is just to advertise and promote this one event. I am intending to spend $5 - $10 a day to promote it, probably $300 in total just as a test (I am hope to get 40 people at this event and I am mainly promoting it to family and friends).
But I don't have an existing business. So I have to create an audience (dumb) with what users and what data? Can someone send me to a guide for this that is very simple. I am looking for bare bones.

Right now here is my process (I welcome any advice/input to any part of my strategy)
Go on Linkedin find potential client in a sector that I want to target
Use an App that I pay for to scrape their data and get their contact info
Throw that info into Hubspot
Call the lead and/or follow-up with an email to setup an appointment
I just started doing it it but I want to make sure that I have the right strategy and process in place.
I have initially started with a chatgpt script that is basically "hello, this is a cold call so I will be brief, I work with business to help minimize their taxes, make better use of their retained earnings, ....."
They often think that I am an accountant. I tell them that I am a financial advisor and then they are like "I already have one."
What is your script? What should I change in my process?
So I have been trying to build up my COIs and to build relationships. The one thing I struggle with is how to make the relationship reciprocal. I had my sister's bday party the other night and my sister's friend is a tax lawyer. The friend made a joke about starting her own life insurance firm because they see the life insurance cases and how much they make. I asked if they have a referral person for insurance and they said there isn't really a reason to as there isn't a benefit to them.
How would you asked for referrals in this scenario? I am thinking, I should take them for lunch with my family member or golf or something. Tell them that I will find a way to do something that benefits them in some way (without having a formal arrangement), but not sure what. How would you deal with this situation? I have know this person for years and been to some of their bday parties and been friendly with them. But I want to make an ask and realize that I have to position it in the right way as I don't think I can make the ask more than once.
I have posted a few times here. I am now doing some cold outreach and trying to find leads via Linkedin. My process is find people on Linkedin, send a message in some cases, use Apollo.io to try and get a phone number and cold call them after putting the lead into my CRM. The bottle neck that I am finding is that Apollo.io is a bit expensive (relatively) to get a number to call. Rocketreach has a similar price point. So I have generated a bit of a small list that I will work with (not sure as to the quality of the list yet). How do you generate your list to call? I have heard some people say that they are just dialing the phone book, but it's more anecdotal. I was thinking phonebook dialing is really going to be an insanely low yield.
Does anyone have a better option to get phone numbers?
I have been calling Rogers and Bell multiple times. The sales people are idiots and I get transferred around and none of them know. Someone told me they can sell it, but Enterprise says it's small business, small business says its a special department that doesn't exist. I asked Ring Central and they said they don't do it.
Does anyone know the answer?
New Agent, I am not getting leads. I networking and working my network. I am trying to think of some ways to generate some sales opportunities. I was thinking of scraping some data or purchase some business contact numbers and have an AI assistant make calls and setup up appointments for me. Has anyone done this and what has your experience been? I was using a service that had chatbots and used AI to call and setup appointments after people had indicated interest through an online campaign. The appointments had a lot of no shows, but I think it was due to the quality of the leads rather than the AI. I am wondering if someone else has had a better experience.
So I was speaking with my manager and he suggested that I hit up business complexes/office buildings and door knock (when I have time). He also mentioned I could go door to door in certain areas and see what the response is. It costs me nothing except my time.
