Most underrated Cavetown song?

What is a Cavetown song that doesn't get as much love as you think it deserves?

I think it's definitely Thank You by Cavetown Offline. It's a really really really wonderful song, but I never hear it mentioned. I know that the offline stuff definitely seems to be way less popular, and it totally makes sense why, but songs like Candle, Ghost Boys, and Rocket Ships are still commonly discussed even if they would get more love as Cavetown songs.

Does anyone else do this?

Hello! I'm ftm and I was wondering if anyone else ever kind of... swaps the dysphoria, in a way? Like sometimes when I need to present as female for any reason I'll pretend that i'm amab beginning her transition into a women. I guess I do this because I'm just beginning my transition into a man and I think this makes me feel like I have a past, or maybe grew up, as a man. idk.

Why is my family so unsupportive? Are their rules too extreme?

I know that when I ask my family members to stop chewing with their mouths open, it probably doesn't feel great, but there rules around this make it feel like i'm being tortured. Are their reactions valid? What should I do?

First off, I'm not allowed to block my ears. I've taught myself to eat with my left hand so that I can rest my head on my other hand and discreetly block one ear, which brings the noise down a little bit because the majority of the noise comes from the left. Still doesn't block all of it though. I have earplugs but I'm scared to bring them to the table. I feel like they'd get mad at me. "She can't block her ears at the table. It's weird and disrespectful." - My dad

They say that I'm allowed to ask them to stop, but if I ask them multiple times they snap. They get really mad at me and tell me that they're trying and that I don't appreciate that. I do appreciate that they're trying, but since I can't block my ears I have to suffer through it until they're done. It gets quieter for the first few seconds after I ask and then it becomes just as loud again.

If I ask them to stop making a noise that I haven't shown to been bothered by in the past, they get upset with me??? "Wren, since when has (sound) bothered you? You have a list of sounds that bother you and (sound) isn't on there." - My mom

Unless I'm sick, I have to eat at the table with everyone else. This has kind of been a rule my whole life, and it's true for my sister as well. So basically, every night I have to deal with trigger sounds and I can't block my ears to escape. I feel really misunderstood.

Am I overreacting? If I'm not, what can I do? Please send help.

Grapheme-color synesthesia: One and Zero

Hey guys! I recently did an AMA on synesthesia. All of the commenters were amazing. one of them told me that most syntheses view zero and one as white/black, but not necessarily the same way around. Why do you think that is? What colors do you see for these?

I have Synesthesia, AMA!

Hellooo! I have synesthesia, specifically Number-Color, Letter-Color, Time-Space, and Day-Color! ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜

While I know a lot about how I perceive things like this (duh...), I'm 14 years old and am in no way a synesthesia expert. If you have questions about synesthesia itself, please do your research through Google and not me. Thanks!

I will try to answer questions today, but most will likely be answered tomorrow 😄
