Since we've almost reached the end of the Scottish Monarchs cycle, here's my suggestion for what to do when it's time to pick a new sub icon.

I think we should do what r/Presidents does, which is change the sub icon every couple weeks by voting on it. It's a really fun way to do a community event imo that gives a lot of presidents some time to shine and gives us some gems of images that are cool to see. Granted, we are half the size of that sub, but I still think it'd be a fun way to decide things. But of course I see the possible downsides of it and don't want to completely overwhelm the mods, so it's just a fun idea and I'd be perfectly fine if we did another cycle or just kept a permanent icon from now on.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a weird title? I get what Jack was going for but I just don't vibe with it.

I liked the video overall tho. Felt like classic JSAG from back in 2022-2023.

Will Schaff add the Hadestown proshot to his top 4 when it comes out?

Currently his Top 4 on Letterboxd is Whiplash, Whisper of The Heart, Ladybird, and Punch Drunk Love. But for those of you not in the know, a Hadestown proshot is going to be released soon come July and proshots are available on Letterboxd. So, will he add it? It's his second favorite piece of media after all and I highly doubt a proshot to one of the most beloved musicals of the 21st Century is going to change anything too drastically.

What are our thoughts on Paddington's Top Four? Personally, I love it.

Not only are all 4 films pretty darn good, they also fit the character of Paddington perfectly. I can totally see him watching these films and loving them.

Happy VE Day! Did you know that the future Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret went out to be amongst London's jubilant crowds during the celebrations? The Queen would later recall it was one of the most memorable nights of her life.

These events were later fictionalized (and very much exaggerated) in the 2015 movie A Royal Night Out. I do wonder if she ever saw it considering the fact that it's not very accurate lol

TIL That Victory in Europe Day was actually on Harry Truman's 61st Birthday. Must've been an exciting day for him!

Personally, my pick for this is It’s Over, Isn't It? from Steven Universe. What a beautifully well written and well piece about loss and frustration and how much regret Pearl feels over everything that happened and how much she wishes she could see Rose again. What a banger song in an absolute banger of an episode.

Personally I wasn't that big of a fan of it, Jim Carrey was a horrible person to play Truman. Looked and acted nothing like him.

Of the British ones, it's certainly got to be Caroline of Ansbach. She literally wanted her son to burn in hell for no apparent reason (he didn't even do anything that egregious??? what was her problem?????) and let him know it. Frederick wasn't exactly a ball of sunshine either but it is very clear to me that both his parents despised him after barely being in his life the first 2 decades of it. Definitely the worst parent child relationship in a royal house infamous for their terrible parent child relationships lol
