I have a 2yo boy who constantly throws up over the littlest things. Here are some of the situations that lead to his throw-ups:
• Coughing too hard
• Running around too much
• Crying too much
• Laughing too hard
• Eats too fast
• He moves around right after eating or drinking
• Has his nose wiped / boogers pulled out (I know too much mucus can lead to having the gag reflex activated, but it’s truly far too often)
• Has his teeth brushed, wherein he will pretend to gag and then actually throw up
• WHEN HE HEARS THE WORD ‘THROW-UP’
If I were to guesstimate the average times he throws up, I’d say 1–2 times a day (it doesn’t seem like much but God…)
Just today he’s thrown up after laughing. I thought it was because he just finished eating but his last meal was 3 hours ago. It’s exhausting to clean, especially when he gets agitated during his throw-ups and decides the thing to do is turn his head left and right like a fire hose and hits the couch, the rugs, and both our clothes. We’re going to the pediatrician this weekend, but has anyone else been in this predicament? Is this just a little phase? I’m worried about his teeth and how the acid from his throw-ups are affecting it.
A private university will be having the midterm exams for their summer classes, and they JUST announced a “no book, no exam” policy for their Open Book Examination.
Many students were shocked. They were told the book wasn’t mandatory at the beginning of the semester, and then the school suddenly decided to change their rules. Keep in mind that the batches who came before were not subjected to this rule, with alumni stating this was a brand new implementation that they had never heard of before. Then, students who had bought the books were open to renting out their books and letting others borrow them. But the professors suddenly announced that borrowing books weren’t allowed—you were to use a book YOU owned, with your name. The books cost ₱2,000+ and the summer semester only lasts 7-ish weeks, which is why most students opted not to buy it.
Realistically speaking, what can students do about this?
