Im looking to get a new laptop and I love the look of thinkpads. I saw a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen6 and a Gen7 that caught my eye but im wondering if there are better thinkpads out there in the $300-$500 range and im planning on putting Mint on it! :)
Anyone out there have good experiences with either of the thinkpads I listed above? Bad experiences? Lmk!

My logitech mouse will freeze up when not in use. I can be gaming and surfing the web with no issues right after start up. I step away for a few moments and my wireless mouse is frozen or disabled and I resort to trackpad. The problem is fixed by rebooting but that seems less than ideal. Is there anyway I can tweak some settings? Im a novice linux user but am willing to do whatever it takes to fix the issue.
Ive seen articles on disabling usbcore autodisable and changing its value to (-1) via kernel settings or GRUB. But if theres any other novice safe options im willing to try that first before altering any kernel settings. Thank you in advance.

Just noticed a flock camera go up on Columbia Dr. in front of the Apollo construction building as I was driving by it. I didn’t notice a camera on it so it might be a “gunshot detecting” Raven flock device. Can anyone confirm it what it is exactly? They are popping up like crazy everywhere else in the state. Did apollo supply the precious metals and install it infront of their building due to contracts? I wanna know the scoop!
