What little things can I do in daily life to honor Sri Lakshmi?

Hello all!

I want to preface this that I am an omnist that is not born or raised Hindu, but I've found a deep devotion to Mata Lakshmi. She has brought such abundance and is helping me get healthy, so I give back to others and am working on going vegetarian for her (it's really hard to start as I love meat, but I love her more).

Anyway, I was wondering are there any little things I'm missing that I can do for her to honor and worship her properly. What flowers and foods does she like? What mantras and practices should I include in my own practice for her?

Also, are there any other devotees of Sri Lakshmi willing to share their experiences? I'd love to hear them!

Needless to say, I'm excited for my first official Diwali in October and I carry so much love in my heart with Lakshmi Maa by my side.

Thank you and much love 💚💚

Inspired partially by Alysa Liu to do whatever I want with my hair, I cut it and dyed it chocolate lavender

Adds some extra cute whimsy to my life!

Story time: the last thing my grandma said to me was that she liked my hair cut like this. I gotta admit I agree with her! 💜

Can you all help me out with a prayer request

Hello!

I want to preface this by saying I am not a Muslimah (maybe one day), but I love Islam and Muslims very deeply.

The reason I'm writing this is because there is a Muslim family who since moved away from my hometown who I deeply treasure. I met them as a barista at a Starbucks and could spend hours talking to them if my bosses would let me. I actually mentioned them on my old account which I have since lost access to... u/weetadevil

Either way, could you all please add Laura, her husband Sadick, and their four children to your prayers. It's a dangerous world to be a hijabi, especially in the U.S. right now, and I'm so worried for all of them. I know Allah will listen to your prayers over mine and I hope that this will send good blessings to Laura and her family.

I may never see them again, in this life or the next, but please pray for them, as I pray that you all are safe and know how much you are loved by Allah and the Prophet (pbuh).

Sorry again for the ramble, and apologies if this is not the place. I put a message in the "Looking For Friends" thread, but I'm hoping a post gets the word out faster.

Please stay safe and thanks for reading my post and prayer request. Many blessings to you all, and much love 💚
