Made a mistake 🙃

I made my first purchase for some sheets on Quince, and it didn’t exactly turn out how I had hoped. I will note that I am pregnant and high key annoyed about the situation, but that’s beside the point.

I didn’t entirely love my customer service interaction, and this is coming from someone who has worked in customer service for literally years. I made a post on the Quince subreddit just to share my experience, and a few people are mighty sensitive over there.
Bringing up the flat sheet or no flat sheet debate will send people into a tizzy, it appears.

Share your favorite websites to find quality 100% cotton sheets for a Cal King 😘
I’d prefer to stay under $300, but under $200 would be even better!! Looking for gingham sets, and I would be most grateful.
Oh and must include flat sheet 😗

Thanks fellow bedding lovers!

All I desired was a new set of sheets.

I was perusing the net for new gingham sheets. Quince had a great-looking set in the color I’d been looking for, so I followed a text link offering a discount for providing my email and phone number on their website and assumed the lower price reflected that discount (it didn’t), only to realize once my order arrived that I’d purchased the set without a flat sheet? This as an option is already dumb, ok, but I digress.
The sheets are lovely, and I would’ve happily kept them if I could simply purchase the flat sheet separately. Because why sell a set with just a fitted sheet and two pillowcases, but not sell just a flat sheet? So you can break up the set one way, but not the other?
Instead, after waiting over a week for international shipping, my options from customer service are to keep sheets I can’t use, or return them and wait for a refund once their warehouse receives them. Then, if I wanted, I could repurchase an entirely new set and wait all over again.
Not the first experience I was hoping for with Quince 😭 Oh, and don’t buy a Cal King unless you want to only purchase sheets online.

Pregnancy After Loss

TW: pregnancy after loss, anxiety, depression

I tested positive on the digital, FRER and cheapie at 9 DPO after conceiving exactly 3 months from my methotrexate shot, on or around Mother’s Day. This is now my second ever pregnancy and I’m already pretty much spiraling.

This time around does feel very different symptom wise, and I’ve gotten darker tests a lot sooner with what SEEMS like normal progression. I’m starting beta HCG tests tomorrow, but I’m still so so scared and cannot help testing a million times a day. Like this isn’t even all of them…🫣

I’ve already started pushing my husband away, which is exactly what I did last time while we waited for confirmation. I just can’t seem to be soft and lovey while I’m so anxiety stricken. He’s such a good man and so patient with me. It’s just rough.

My symptoms have definitely been intense so far. Before I even tested positive, I had a pretty bad migraine, which I thought meant my period was coming, but it never did. Since then, I’ve gone from ravenous to queasy and gaggy to the point of not wanting anything to eat at all. Exhausted to the point of taking hours long naps during the day, and I never ever nap. I look like the life is slowly being siphoned out of me, and I’ve had heartburn off and on for over a week. Irrationally irritable. Mild cramping, zaps, and twinges in my uterus and a bit of back pain.

My previous pregnancy didn’t give me much to compare to symptom wise until the end. It was mostly emotional symptoms, a bit of nausea, scent sensitivity, and then treatment and loss which then triggered the most unimaginable pain I’ve ever experienced.

I guess I just needed a place to vent it all out again. Really hoping this will be our chance for a healthy pregnancy because my ectopic nearly broke me. For a moment there, my depression got so intense that I wasn’t sure I was going to make it, and my husband and family became extremely concerned.

I pushed myself into my hobbies and getting back to school, which helped me a ton, but now here I am again, terrified.

I also wanted to thank all the women who’ve shared their stories and experiences of such heartbreaking loss. It’s made me feel less alone ♥️ I feel like talking about my experience to people who truly listen, even in my daily life, has helped me heal, and I found the courage to share because of you all.
