Looking for a few playtesters for my QoL EarthBound mod.

Howdy! I have developed a quality-of-life mod for EarthBound called EarthBound Reverb, and I hope to release it next week. Before then I'd love a few people to play it and tell me what breaks. I feel like I have gone a bit bug blind, so fresh eyes would be very helpful.

It has fast-forward with the music at normal speed, 16:9 widescreen, King as a short term party member, stacking Goods, and a bunch of small things that you can turn off in the settings, that might make the experience a bit smoother. It's built into an emulator core, so you'd need OpenEmu (Mac) or RetroArch (Mac, Windows, Linux, Steam Deck), plus your own EarthBound ROM.

If you're up for it, send me a message with which one you'd use, or just comment below and I will reach out. Thanks!

Pelipper Town 1.1.0 is out! Thank you everyone!

Howdy everyone! Thank you so much for the incredible response to Pelipper Town. I especially appreciate everyone who has written detailed bug reports, shared logs, tested multiplayer fixes, and followed up with more information. Your patience and effort have made these problems much easier to track down. I really enjoyed seeing what everyone's favorite pokemon have been! We are now up to exactly 500 pokemon in the game. (for you Gen 1 lovers, there is a dedicated gen 1 mode that limits all wild pokemon and npc's partner pokemon to gen 1.)

Version 1.1.0 adds new quests, more bosses, an optional farm-wide Nuzlocke, new pokemon, evolution paths, and more rideable partners. The DexNav can now scan local habitats and hunt specific species. Companion work now awards the proper skill experience, wild spawning should run more smoothly, and multiplayer received a large reliability pass covering farmhand setup, catches, saves, companions, rewards, and battles. I have also added my most controversial update, the french language.

Everyone in multiplayer must use version 1.1.0. Please back up your save and replace the old mod folder instead of merging the files.

Thank you again for playing and helping me improve the mod!

My Pokemon mod, Pelipper Town, is finally out!

Howdy everyone! I shared some gameplay from this mod two weeks ago, and I am releasing it today under its new name, Pelipper Town!

It lets you farm and explore Stardew Valley with Pokémon by your side and assisting you, with new quests involving Pokémon and familiar NPCs. It is playable in both single-player and multiplayer. While I recommend starting with a new save to be careful, it works fine with preexisting saves.

I have also tucked in a few hidden features that I am sure people will enjoy discovering. I would love to hear what you think!

Some gameplay footage from Pokémon Companions

Howdy everyone! I have posted here yesterday about my upcoming Pokémon mod. The working title is Pokémon Companions, but don't hold me to it.

The goal of the mod is to add Pokémon partners for the player and the NPCs, while making them feel like a natural part of Stardew Valley and still getting a bit of the pokemon game loop. I am also working on giving Pokémon different abilities and effects based on their types, so they can do more than just follow the player around. Some people reached out and said they wanted to see some actual gameplay footage, so here you go!

Everything is still a work in progress, but I wanted to share a few clips showing how the mod currently looks in-game. I am happy to answer any questions!

Which Pokemon would you pair with each marriage candidate?

Hey there, I’m working on a mod that adds catchable Pokemon to Stardew Valley, with training, evolution, battles, and farm help (mainly the farm help). I recently decided that the villagers should also have their own Pokemon partners that follow them around town.

These are my current picks for the marriage candidates:

Abigail: Sableye (I did have it as Gengar as you can see in the photos originally because he is one of my favorites, but I felt like sableye fit better)
Alex: Machop (open to suggestions here)
Elliott: Milotic
Emily: Espeon
Haley: Sunflora
Harvey: Chansey (I am afraid it fits his job and not him. I almost gave him a Duoduo instead)
Leah: Smeargle
Maru: Starmie (or maybe magneton)
Penny: Audino
Sam: Pikachu
Sebastian: Umbreon
Shane: Torchic (or shiny Psyduck)

I’ve picked out some for the others, but they are kind of up in the air still. I personally like Caroline and Bulbasaur as a combo due to her gardening! Oh and I also did a zangoose and seviper pairing for Pierre and Morris which I feel like is a good match which I got from another Reddit post. If you have any ideas or questions I’d love to hear it!

I apologize for any formatting issues, I drafted this on mobile. Thanks!
