Hello! I'm here asking today what your favroite mod is! Whether it's adding a new NPC, and expansion, retextures, features, QoL, or even bizzare ones! Asking because I'm making my own collection of mods and I'd love to hear peoples favorites and/or most reccomended! I have bassically every expansion you could thing of, even ones that aren't being updated anymore but if you can think of any niche expansions I'd love to hear them! The mods coulod be anything! I'm not particular, just want a bunch to experience them in different saves and stuff!

how do i know mod versions/compatibility on nexus?

fav aesthetic mods? ones that don't overlap and give it an easier-on-the-eyes recolor

would it kill the vibe to not get item/craftable recolors too? i don't want to download like 20 mods just to have it seem cohesive...

farmer customizations? fav ones?

we aren't really interested in sve or anything like that, mostly just qol and aesthetic things!!

Hello, i am very new at stardew valley modding and am having problems with the game versions. some of the mods i would like to play with have not been updated for newer game versions and are stuck in vers 1.6.5 and such. i downloaded the game via steam and am using curseforge for the mods. is there not a way to downgrade to previous versions? i am willing to swap to other modding websites/apps if you can't do that on curseforge. I tried looking up everywhere on the internet but all i found was how to go back to 1.5.6 through steam betas

Hey! I'd like to ask for help with SMAPI, the thing that runs the modded game on stardew valley? I dont have the money to get stardew on the play store so I got the APK online, I did the same with SMAPI and it keeps telling me to download it from the play store, could anyone help? Thanks for reading :)

I'm planning an artisan goods heavy modded playthrough and though I've spent some time trawling through Nexus Mods, I guarantee I've missed some good/interesting mods along the way. I'm also interested in any mods that add the ability to create a market or shop of my own to sell goods to the townsfolk besides Market Day.

Wildflour's Atelier Goods is already on my list, so no need to rec that one.

I would prefer mods that don't add a ton of new NPCs (1-2 is fine, especially if they don't require friendship) but added fruits/crops/forage are totally fine. Not looking for huge expansion mods (no Ridgeside/East Scarp/Sunberry/etc), just standalone mods that add either new types of artisan goods, improved artisan goods, or new machines to create them.

I’m looking to add a profession and skill-related mod to my next Stardew playthrough, but stability is my main priority. I really want to avoid bugs, glitches, or issues that might only start showing up later into a save.

Right now I’m mostly torn between Vanilla Plus Professions and Walk Of Life - Profession Overhaul but both of them seem to have a fair amount of bug reports and posts.

I’m also playing with Stardew Valley Expanded and East Scarp, so compatibility with those would be important too. For anyone who has used either one recently, which would you recommend in terms of stability and overall polish? I’m definitely open to other profession/skill mod recommendations as well.

Is someone able to help me out? I was told to post this here. I have the files it is saying I’m missing within the files not able to load so I really don’t know what to do. Title. I've played SVE and am playing Ridgeside, but I got my girlfriend to get stardew and she said I should add a gameplay expansion bc I have 900ish hours in the base game. I've read that East Scarp is better and it seems to get more positive notes than Sunberry. Sunberry and it's characters don't fit and they seem to try to be quirky is the general consensus I gathered but I'll happily take input please thank you

do i have to create a new farm/new save before i install mods or no?

So I'm pretty new to stardew mods. I just have SVE, which has been very fun! But I'd love some recs for more mods like that that expand the map and maybe gives different quests or something. More NPCs are cool too. I tried looking myself but it's a bit overwhelming with how many mods there are. I saw that Ridgeside Village was popular but a lot of people seem not to like it? The general idea of it seems cool to me though.

Anyway, any recs will be appreciated. Thanks!!

I'd love a mod that improves the existing NPCs.

I want more complex, human characters who fight and become enemies with each other, with more intense dramas, irreversible decisions, dilemmas, and all that.

You get the picture. The harder and darker, the better (although I could settle for something a little cozier). Is there a mod like that?
