new plant mom

hi everyone, new plant mom. i got these thai cons at costco for $20.
one just put out a nice new healthy leaf and im ready to repot now.
i’m looking for any helpful tips or things i need to know. it’s in an 8inch and will be going into a 10inch with mollys aroid mix.
i think the spots on one leaf is likely looking like root rot? the soil is super dense and moist— but i waited a week to repot due to the new leaf unraveling.
i’m not sure what to do for the leaf or what to do if i uncover any rot while repotting.
also open to thoughts on a plastic support stake vs moss pole. i’ve heard pilot opposite opinions on it, but i want mine to grow vertically and that stacked look — so any tips on how to get that look and train the leaves would be helpful.
thanks all!
also— they in a south facing bright window with a grow light for 8-10 hours currently.
**added extra pics of other leaf imperfections also in case they mean anything**

new corm mom

hi everyone. new to plants and new to my alocasia. i got it at trader joe’s and when repotting i found two corms that easily came off. does this set up look ok?
i’m really wanting them to sprout and grow healthy. i know moss will be the best but i dont have any right now.
thoughts on the water in an airtight glass container with grow lights in a warm south facing window to let it root & then transfer to moss?
also open to any alocasia mom plant advice too.
i saw some tiny spots on the mom plant so wiped it with a neem oil and water mixture since they’re so prone to spider mites.
thanks for kindness and advice in advance :)🌱

swapped from jornay to generic concerta

hi all, recently lost insurance coverage on jornay pm which i was loving for ab a year and a half 80mg. had to swap to 54mg trigen concerta in the meantime & i’ve had hellacious dry mouth and stomach cramping thru the day and even at night before bed. i had zero side effects in jornay & the inability to wake up in the mornings now w trigen is terrible.
in the case of not being able to get a pre auth for jornay, did the stomach cramping and pains and dry mouth subside for any of you? is it worth trying a manufacturer coupon for brand name concerta?? any long term changes for better or worse?
trigen has been fine but it sucks on the weekends bc im sleeping 11-13 hours, up and going and eating too late for a 12hr ER dose so end up doing an IR ritalin.
or has anyone had actual luck with a pre auth? i dont have any experience w it or what needs to happen usually before insurance will help out. if they cover any portion of it i can use a jornay manu coupon for $25.
