22M More interested in understanding life than escaping it

Engineer by profession. Outside of work, most of my time disappears into training, photography, philosophy, and long stretches of thought about human nature, ambition, meaning, and the quiet patterns people rarely notice.

I value depth, restraint, and intellectually honest conversations. I keep my circle small, avoid surface-level noise, and naturally connect better with people who think critically and feel deeply.

22M — I’m the kind of person who can spend hours lost in thought without realizing it

Most days are simple: work, training, and a lot of time reflecting on life, people, and everything in between. I keep my circle small, and I’ve always been more comfortable with silence than surface-level noise.

Photography and philosophy are probably the two things that shape how I see the world. I notice details, read between lines, and tend to search for meaning where most people just pass by.

I’m not here for constant texting or shallow conversations. I value genuine connection, mutual understanding, and people who can appreciate depth without forcing it.

If you’re someone who thinks a little too much too, we’d probably get along.

Hii, I am 22M and have been into fitness since last year, I used to live in bangalore and then i was around 76 kgs, I hated myself then so started my journey, lost 6 kgs in a month 2 kgs in the next one. Became lean and fit and very confident, but then I lost my job due to a layoff last year September. I couldn't fathom it because it was my dream job so I left the city and shifted to my hometown, got a remote job with the same pay which is a good thing but then i stopped working out and focusing on my health. Since September I've again gained 9-10 kgs and I'm not 77-78 kgs. It's hard for me to look at myself in the mirror. I tried restarting gym but my new job is really hectic, working hours are not defined and I can't push gym in between. Also since I'm at home I'm unable to have high protein diets. For context I'm a vegetarian and my parents think that even roti has protein which I have tried to convience them otherwise to no result.

I am extremely confused on how to start. Should I start with calisthenics or should I go forward with gym only somehow.

Any kind of guidance will help, I really wanna be in my best shape in 4-5 months.
