over the past two years, wala akong ininda kung di sakit at problema sa buhay ko. it’s been so tough finding my purpose, self-esteem, and just yung mabuhay ka araw-araw.
i’ve been working my ass off all year trying to sustain myself ever since i moved out of my parents house. i can still remember that i was living paycheck to paycheck back then. i never stopped working talaga, literal na kayod. since october of last year, nung nag re-structuring kami, i feel like i’ve been working for almost 7-days a week. nasa ops kasi kami so kailangan all hands on deck talaga. i’d really try to show my boss and peers na they can count of me. sobrang na-down din ako kase parang di naman namin na-hit yung targets namin. lagi ako nag-iisip kung ano pang pwedeng gawin para i can be more impactful.
after work, nag hahanap pa ko ng mga side-gig na pwede kong pag trabahuhan just to be able to live and save up rin. grabe yung pagod and exhaustion. minsan di ko maiwasan na mag breakdown at umiyak haha :((
today, i received news na they’re expanding my role and giving me a salary increase. i will also be handling a small team and mag report sila sakin. natuwa ako kase na-validate din lahat ng paghihirap ko. sobrang thankful ako sa company na meron ako kase they really recognized everything that i do. i like the environment that i’m in right now. medyo
may onting kaba rin kase syempre may team na nahawak hehe
yung downside lang is binalita ko sa “loved” ones yung achievement ko today haha wala naman akong support na nakuha kung di comparison lang din. pero anyways, ayun lang sobrang happy ko lang for myself, may rason pa ako para mabuhay, kumuha ng learnings, at maging masama araw-araw!

Kariton finally opened their branch in Makati! i first tried it when i was in the South and boy oh boy, their gelato is to die for 😩 i’ve been wanting to come back ever since! TYG they finally opened a branch here.
all the flavors are Filipino-inspired too. i got a double scoop of turon and ube and GOD, it’s like i’m actually eating the real thing.
besides the gelato, they also have wine/drinks and a few pastries. i think it’s a partnership with another brand.

finally had a chance to try Scratch in Poblacion today!
i would say their burger is just “sakto lang.” also, idk about you guys, but i liked their buns. i know there’s nothing too special about it, but it complements the sauces and the meat well. i didn’t like their smashed patty because i felt like i was chewing “gatil” (not sure if i used the right term, but it tasted like semi-hard bones haha). i hope they can improve on that. i also wish they’d add more vegetables because medyo nakaka-umay rin ng onti.
i also ordered their strawberry milkshake, which was great, and yung truffle fries nila did not disappoint! i liked the dipping sauce and you can really feel the truffle essence haha

right now, we’re looking for someone to join us as head of growth. someone who’s into tech, saas, startups, growth, sales, or partnerships. more than the title, we’re really looking for someone hungry to build from scratch and can move without being spoonfed.

i ate here today and it was just so weird…
basically, there was me and 2 big groups of japanese people (one on the left and one on the right). the table on the left, which i was sitting across from, had 3 japanese men and 1 young girl (if you’d picture it, ifykyk). they were laughing and smoking iqos.
turns out, i didn’t see that there was another girl at the table across from me. she stood up, and it turns out she was a fucking waiter wearing the same uniform as the lady serving me 😭 she served the food and was caressing the man’s arm while giggling and shit. i just couldn’t help but notice because i was so surprised. i felt like i was in a brothel or invading a space or something 😭
towards the end, the other table across from me left and handed cash to the waiter. turns out there were 3 waitresses in total. two of them just had to “entertain” the japanese guests. anyways, the food was okay lang, but goddamn, that experience left me scarred haha.
