Amazfit Active 3 Premium vs Amazfit Balance 2 real-world differences?

I’m deciding between the Amazfit Active 3 Premium and the Amazfit Balance 2.

On paper they look very similar (They may look the same), so I’m trying to understand the real differences from people who actually used them.

Main questions:

Battery life: what are you actually getting in real use? (normal use (Brightness quite higher) + workouts (gym 5 days)+ All health sensors activated)

Any real differences besides the crown/rotating wheel and design?

Do sensors (HR, GPS, sleep tracking) perform differently in practice or is it basically the same?

Materials: is the Balance 2 noticeably more premium (Stainless steel, frame, feel on wrist)?

Trying to figure out if the Balance 2 is worth the extra or if the Active 3 Premium is basically the same experience.

Would appreciate real user feedback, not spec sheet comparisons.

Best smartwatch for gym beginners? Garmin Venu 3 vs Huawei Watch GT 6 (sleep tracking, HR accuracy, battery)

Hey! 👋

Getting more serious about the gym and want a smartwatch that actually helps, not just looks good on my wrist.

Been going back and forth between the Garmin Venu 3 and the Huawei Watch GT 6 for a few weeks now. Not a runner, mostly lifting weights, some cardio. Here's where I'm stuck:

Sleep tracking I want real data, not just "you slept 7h, good job". I've heard Garmin's Sleep Coach actually tells you when to go to bed and adjusts based on your HRV. Does Huawei do anything close to that or is it just pretty graphs?

Heart rate during strength training This is the one I can't find a clear answer on. Optical HR during sets is notoriously bad on most watches. Anyone actually tested either of these while lifting (not just running)? I've seen people say Garmin's more consistent even if the raw sensor isn't the "best" hardware.

Battery I charge my phone every day, I don't want to do the same with a watch. From what I've read Huawei wins here easily (14 days vs ~5?), but does that change if you enable continuous HR and sleep tracking 24/7?

Long term I've had cheap fitness bands that turned useless after a year. Looking for something that still makes sense to wear in 3 years.

My rough read so far: Garmin = smarter software, Body Battery + HRV Status are genuinely useful, ecosystem is proven. Huawei = better hardware on paper, bigger battery, newer design, but the software feels more like features than actual insight.

But I honestly don't know how big that difference is day to day.

Anyone who's used either of these for months (especially for lifting) — which would you pick and why?

Is the Garmin software worth the battery trade-off, or is Huawei good enough that it doesn't matter?

¿Mejor smartwatch para gimnasio + seguimiento del sueño? Garmin Venu 3 VS Huawei Watch GT6 VS COROS Pace Pro

Hola 👋

He estado investigando smartwatches durante semanas y creo que lo he reducido a estos 3:

Garmin Venu 3

Huawei Watch GT 6

COROS Pace Pro

Best smartwatch for gym + sleep tracking? Garmin Venu 3 VS Huawei Watch GT6 VS COROS Pace Pro

Best smartwatch for gym + sleep tracking? Garmin Venu 3 vs Huawei GT 6 vs COROS Pace Pro

Hey 👋

I’ve been researching smartwatches for weeks and I think I’ve narrowed it down to these 3:

Garmin Venu 3

Huawei Watch GT 6

COROS Pace Pro

What I care about most:

the best accurate for sleep tracking

reliable HR in the gym / weightlifting

good GPS

very strong battery life/performance for daily activities -> (daily training without GPS.. sleep with all trackers/sensors..)

long looong-term durability

From what I’ve seen:

Garmin seems the safest/reliable option

Huawei looks really strong lately for sensors + battery

COROS seems amazing for sports/GPS/battery

I mainly do gym + general fitness, not hardcore endurance training.

So now I genuinely don’t know which one is actually best in real-world use 😭

If you had to choose ONE for gym + sleep + battery + long-term use, which would you pick and why?

Hey! 👋

Quick question for people training consistently:

I’m trying to figure out which smartwatch brand is actually the best for gym + health tracking, not just marketing...

Main things I care about:

Sleep tracking high accuracy

Heart rate during weightlifting

GPS (for occasional runs)

Battery life

Durability over loooong time

Brands I’m looking at:

Garmin

Huawei

Coros

Suunto

I keep seeing mixed opinions:

Garmin = most reliable?

Huawei = best value + improving fast?

Coros/Suunto = more “sport focused”?

But I want real-world experience, not specs..

If you had to pick ONE brand for gym + sleep tracking, which would you trust and why..?

Hey! 👋

I’m getting more serious about the gym and I want a smartwatch that actually helps, not just looks good.

Right now I’m stuck between:

Garmin Venu 3

Huawei Watch GT 6

What I care about:

Sleep tracking → I want something that’s actually accurate, not fake data

Heart rate in the gym → especially during sets (not just cardio)

Battery life → I don’t want to charge it every 2–3 days

Long loooong-term reliability → something that still works well after years

From what I see:

Garmin = more “trusted” and consistent

Huawei = newer tech + better battery (maybe?)

But I don’t know how big the real difference is in actual use.

For beginners lifting weights: which one would you pick and why?

(especially if you’ve used one for months)

Hi everyone! Hope you’re doing well 👋.

Edit: If this topic interests you too, or you think you can add something useful, I’d really appreciate an upvote or a share in other smartwatch/fitness communities so more people with real experience can see it.

I’ve been going back and forth for weeks trying to decide which watch to buy, and honestly the more I read, the more confused I get.

I know I’m asking a lot for my budget, but I’d rather hear from people who’ve actually used these watches for months, not just after a 24-hour review.

Budget: ideally under $200 — I’m trying to get the best value possible without overspending. Or without a subscription that I always have to pay...

What I care about most is getting a watch that doesn’t lie to me too much, especially in this three areas:

Weightlifting: decent heart-rate tracking during hard sets...

Sleep: I do not expect miracles, but I do want something that can tell real sleep stages apart instead of deciding I was asleep while I was watching a movie.

Battery: at least 1-2 weeks minimum (AOD off). I don’t want to be charging it every few days consistency matters more than extra features....

The main watches I am considering are:

Huawei Watch Fit 3 — I’ve heard the new sensors are really good and sleep tracking seems solid, but I’m not sure about long-term durability and whether it really holds up in the battery department.

Amazfit Active 2 — looks promising, but I’m not fully convinced about the accuracy of the BioTracker sensors or whether a cheaper brand can really keep up.

Xiaomi Watch S3 — great design, but is the app actually good enough? And how are the accuracy and algorithms in real use?

Garmin Venu 2S — the older option. Is a 2021 sensor still worth it compared with newer budget watches?

What matters to me is at least 1–2 weeks of battery life with AOD off, something that can take a few hits at the gym, and a watch that does not feel like a brick on the wrist.

Has anyone here switched from Garmin to one of these Chinese brands, or the other way around, and can give an honest opinion on the sensors? I’m a bit worried that cheaper means less accurate, but also that older Garmin hardware might be behind now even if the software is still strong.

Not locked into these ... happy to look at older flagships, newer drops, or other brands if they’re worth it.

Any real experience would help a lot. Thanks in advance! 🙏
