Colonel John Shakespeare served as the British Political Agent in Manipur from 1905 to 1917, overseeing the princely state during a decisive phase of colonial rule.

This photo is from his famous paper 'The Religion of Manipur,' read on May 21st, 1913 and published in the journal Folk-Lore later that year.

So apparently around 4am almost 100 kna-b(kuki national army based in burma) crossed over the border, fired and burned houses of tangkhul civilians over the border.. There's an AR camp at kashung which is not far off but ig they were sleeping when Kna-b attacked..

Insurgency was in a steep decline before may 3, 2023 in manipur which is the hotbed of insurgency but now it's as high as ever.. And I'll blame this on the govt..

I'll say this again, either Indian Army are incompetent or they are co-ordinating and letting this happen..
