Back again and easily one of DEYA’s finest beers, brewed this year in collaboration with Finback Brewery (NYC). This beautifully saturated DIPA is packed with Citra Cryo, Motueka, and Nectaron hops, bringing huge tropical flavours. I’m getting loads of lychee, backed up by ripe mango and passionfruit. Absolutely delicious.

Think for yourself is a hoppy beer series where we explore experimental New Zealand hop varieties. The third beer in this series focusses on Nelson Bliss and Nelson Bliss Hop Kief from Freestyle hops.

At the heart of this brew is the collaboration with Clayton Hops and the use of the innovative Nelson Bliss variety as well as highly concentrated Nelson Bliss hop kief. The result is a beer that, according to the brewery, literally “sings”: You can expect an intense bouquet of freshly squeezed mango, zesty passion fruit, and a complex profile reminiscent of a tropical fruit salad. Despite its moderate alcohol content, the beer offers the smooth and full-bodied mouthfeel typical of DEYA. Cheers🍻

I discovered these great beers at my craft beer shop. I especially liked the “Lush” DIPA (the can on the right)! It’s made with Nelson, Galaxy, and Enigma hops from New Zealand and Australia. If you ever come across this beer, I highly recommend it. Gekko Brewing Company is a microbrewery in Nice, France.
