Moonroof tinted ✅

Whole car is now completely covered in 3M nano ceramic film, including the moonroof! My place charged me $249 for the moonroof. I never open the roof but I like to open the shade sometimes and this definitely helps with keeping the heat out.

New Tiger Piece

After 5 sessions this thing is finally finished! It was a cover up for a tiny tattoo on my chest, and I went balls deep on it. I really love it 😊. Done by Aaron Mason in Temecula, CA. The man is an absolute master at his craft!

Lamin-X on headlights

Applied some precut Lamin-X to my headlights and DRLs yesterday morning (‘26 2.5s preferred). Wasn’t terribly difficult, and I follow directions to a tee. I usually have my brother apply this stuff for me, but figured I’d give it a go myself. I still have some bubbles and slight imperfections, but my brother said parking in the sun for a bit should help speed up the moisture dissipation as the days go on. I also popped a few of the bubbles as this stuff is apparently “self healing.”

Anybody have success with ppf on their headlights?

Freshly tinted

Just picked up my 2026 Preferred from the tint shop. Had all windows + windshield fitted with carbon-ceramic tint. I think it looks pretty great 😊

2026 2.5s AC PROBLEM

Picked up my ‘26 Preferred from the dealer today and low and behold, the AC is not working. It’s about 94° in Socal today, and as I was sitting in the car at the dealer, the AC just wouldn’t kick in, even though it was cranked to full blast and set to low temp/recirculate. Just warm, ambient air. Told my sales guy as he was sitting in the passenger seat and he said it felt cold to him. He advised me to drive it around to see if it gets better. Did so and realized only the passenger side was blowing mildly cool air, nowhere near cold, and the drivers’ side vents were blowing warm air, yet both were set to low and Sync wasn’t turned on. Switched it to fresh air mode and then when I came to a stoplight I could smell burning plastic-ish fumes coming from the vents; that dissipated when I started driving again.

Drove right back to the dealer and the tech is looking at it. Recharged it with freon, which is great, but that doesn’t explain why the drivers side is only blowing warm air. They ended up giving me a turbo model as a loaner for the day since I have to leave it overnight (or however long this takes). The AC in this Meridian model is ice cold, go figure; nowhere near as warm as my car.

Anyway, this is pretty disappointing given that this car had like, 3 miles on it when I purchased today… love the car but ngl this is concerning. Glad they stepped into action and started fixing it though, very grateful for their good customer service so far.

Anybody experience anything similar before or have any ideas as to what this could be?

Farewell to the CT!

Ended up buying a ‘26 Mazda CX-50 and transferred the CT to my folks as an extra car. Only had it for 1 year, but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. At least it’s still in the family!

Prospective buyer

I currently drive a 2016 Lexus CT200h that is paid off but I’m looking for something a little bigger than that has all-wheel-drive since I may be moving to Colorado soon. I’ve driven the CT in the snow with winter tires and it was a nightmare; previously had an MDX so I definitely know the benefit of a good AWD system.

I have my eyes set on the CX-50, and I know that Mazda is currently offering zero APR for 36 months for qualified buyers (I qualify). I also know that Costco has the car buying program and I’m an executive member. Does anybody know if Costco’s program is worth it or how I can get the best deal on a CX-50?

Thanks :)

New Tire Suggestions

2016 F Sport w 90k miles on it. Definitely due for some new shoes. The current Nitto Motivos are pretty junk (former owner had them installed 3 years ago) and I’m wanting something that will make the ride quieter and more comfortable, if at all possible. I’m aware that the F Sport is inherently noisy and rough as shit but I’m wondering if new tires might help my cause...
Eyeballing Bridgestone Turanza Everdrives @ Costco for $818 out the door w their $80 instant rebate, but have heard good things about the Michelin Primacy models as well. If anyone else has some suggestions, I’m all ears.
