Hi everyone,

I reached out on this sub regarding an e ring a few days ago and got some helpful responses. I chose a center diamond and got a setting from rare carat:

I asked them to make a few customizations one of which was to get claw prongs and asked them to send me a video/photo of the ring once it’s made.

The video makes it look like they’re round prongs but the photo (in comments) show some tapering of the prongs. The claws look barely like petite prongs and they’re almost pushing to for us to agree to get it shipped so we can inspect in person while I’m not sure about the prongs. They’re saying the workshop is advising against adjusting the prongs any further as it will damage the setting.

I have read a few posts about rare carat messing the prongs but also saw some positive posts so went ahead with them. What do you think? Should I push further? What should I say to them?
