i just found out i'm pregnant like an hour ago. i'm in shock. this is my first. i'm grown and live on my own with my partner. i'm so nervous to tell my family as if im a teenager lol. idk how to tell them. they live 2 hours away and we only visit on occasions, i feel my parents will know if i ask to meet up out of nowhere lol. i def want to do it in person tho, any ideas?

i'm so relieved to finally make this post, pls tell me bye because i've been hired at a new job. i'm now a pharmacy technician! i probably will never step foot in an aldi again, i wont even shop there ever again. i'm so done with the stress, the hour cutting, the rude ass customers, the reshop. it's all done. phew.

hey everyoneee, i'm just posting this because i have an interview tomorrow morning for the intern position. i have only ever been in retail and i graduated high school in 2024. no experience in the medical field. what do they ask during the interview? i feel under qualified lol, just a little nervous.

I work in retail. I've been here for over a year and my hours have been slowly declining. I mean I went from 40 hours to 5 hours next week. I went to a job interview today and it went super well. If I do get the job do I give my retail job a two weeks notice? I know a two weeks notice is good but is it even necessary at this point? I have bills to pay.

I hate it when customers throw items on the side of my register on the candies or on random shelves. I also hate it when they get all the way to my register and say they don't want something and hand it to me, like we should normalize telling them to put their own shit back where they got it.

Last night I was closing with my ASM.
She told me to go ahead and lock the entrance door so people don't keep coming in at 8:50 so I did. I'm closing the shades in produce by the door and a customer in the cashier line is like yelling at me from the line saying "WHY ARE YOU LOCKING THE DOOR? ITS NOT EVEN CLOSING TIME" i said "I'm just doing what i'm told to do".

Then, some frat guy comes up and opened the door with his fingers while i'm mouthing to him we're closed through the door and he comes straight in and points at his watch and says he has 8 minutes. I go and tell my ASM and she's like "he's not wrong, we aren't closed yet." i said "then what the hell is the point in closing the door early then if you're just going to let customers in? isn't that trespassing?" she said "i'm not going to refuse him service" i was like "tbh I just want to go home at this point, what a day" and she said "Then go ahead! Clock out" so I didn't say anything else and I left.

It was just the last straw for me. She's the one who told me to lock the door and not let anyone else in and then someone came in and i'm being told it's fine. It felt like she wasn't on the same side as me. It might sound so little but it's just the cherry on top.

i'm not bagging your stuff unless you are pregnant, disabled or don't have arms. i've had such trouble with just bagging things to get customers out of the way but my manager told me that it's our policy to not bag for them. when i did bag, they complain that i didn't do it right or huff and puff and say im smashing their stuff. like i can't even put shit in people's boxes without getting a complaint because i didn't sort it perfectly.

this lady came through my line today and was telling me not to start ringing her stuff because she doesn't have her bags opened yet for me to bag for her. i told her that we don't bag here and she said "i've come here for a long time and ur the only female who doesn't bag for me" i said "well it's store policy" she said "since when?" i said "since aldi has ever been a thing" she said "i don't like ur nasty ass attitude, i'm not coming back here because im not going to bag my own things" i said "well i don't know what to tell you. my paycheck is going to look the same"

like i have bad experiences with these customers everyday, not even kidding. i've been called a fat ass by a customer because she had 3 instacart orders and didn't want me putting the orders in the same cart and demanded me to get up and go get her 2 other carts for the other orders she had despite me telling her i can separate with the bags. i'm going into life insurance and i'm leaving in like a month. i'm done.

i was working at the register and these 2 teenage girls come in and they were so loud throughout the whole store. they finally came to checkout and then their card kept declining, i let them try it like 5 times before i told them i need to help the next customers while they figure that out, so i suspended it. they came back around paid and left. then later on, we are closed (doors are going to open for customers inside to leave, won't open for people coming in) and im checking out the last 2 customers. i see and hear them BANGING on the glass doors and i wave them away and say we are closed. they pried the doors open with their dirty little fingers and laughed and talked loud while they went and picked up a pack of cookies. they came to my register and i told them im not helping them and they need to leave. they looked at each other and one said to me, "are you serious?" i said "are you serious? yall pried the doors open and expect me to help you right now? we're closed" and i pointed to the door, they left their cookies and i haven't seen them since. would you have helped them?

i'm at work right now as we speak. i'm trying to take my break and if curbside goes off i have to clock back in and do the order. my LSA called out today and she does this shit constantly, how isn't she fired yet. it's a HOLIDAY weekend, wtf was she thinking? lowkey hope she gets fired for that shit cus this is horrible. we're SLAMMED. been here with only my manager since 2:45 and we get out of here at 9. no boxing can be done or anything.
