Upgrading from a 7700K
Hi all, I'm currently upgrading my PC that has been running since 2017. It has a GTX1080 and a 7700K. Just yesterday I got a RTX3080 as a stop gap GPU until I can upgrade motherboard, CPU, and RAM.
So here's the question. Is it worth to go for a Ryzen 7 9700x, or would the 5700x be good enough for a lower price. Mainly going to use it for gaming at 1440p, but I would like this next CPU to last another 8-9 years like the 7700K did.
