Hey what's up, I don’t have any/a lot of post history because I lost my old reddit password and made this new one specifically or looking for DND groups. Anyways,

I am a native English speaker but live in a non-English speaking country and I’m not fluent enough in the local language yet so I haven’t played DND in person in a long time and I REALLY miss it. So I’m searching for an online game to be a player in. I am DMing a fun game with friends back home but the game is a little inconsistent and I also want to be a player.

Just to get to the point of it now. I am a dude in my mid 30s. Well travelled, reasonably interesting and charismatic and funny enough, hobbies and interests and all that fun stuff, one of them being DND. I’m LGBTQ+ friendly, kind, good listener, active participant in games and I think pretty cool! We’d probably get along. I want to elevate my fellow players including DM so we all have a fun time. So that’s a quick personality thing.

DNDwise. My schedule is pretty flexible right now but weekends and evenings GMT+2 (Central European time, same time zone as Berlin/Paris/Rome). I have no problem playing with people from other timezones or people who speak English as an additional language as long as the game is in English and the times work out.

There’s a bunch of characters and genre of DND I want to play so I’m pretty open to a lot. I have at least one character idea for every class and want to play them all as much. Right now I do have a slight preference for spooky (I’m really excited for the new Horrors of Ravenloft book). Recently I’ve been really into the idea of playing a Way of Mercy or Elements Monk. But again I’m real hyped about basically every class. Serious game, goofy game, whatever as long as the group is good and we are all down for the premise. I do especially like combat and strategy but I know there’s other fun pillars of the game I enjoy a lot and I’m not extra prone to starting combat just because I like it.

I don’t like AI and I will not be using it and I hope no one else is. But if you are I am just going to plug my ears and pretend I don’t know.

If we play using DNDBeyond I can content share all the 2024 Core books, Eberon: Forge of The Artificer and I have the new Ravenloft book on preorder and should be getting the Faerûn players book delivered/code soon.

I know and respect the rules well but not in an annoying rules lawyer way so the DM doesn’t really need to handhold/babysit/help me too much. That being said I don’t mind playing with people who need a little bit of help! I’d actually be pretty cool with helping people out or of the DM wanted to designate me rules reference helper guy if that would be of aid to you.
