Hoopla SLOW on Tab Ultra C

Just got Boox Tab Ultra C 10.3 size (refurb)

One of the main reasons I picked it was because of reading books through Hoopla on an eink device. Im new to Boox and android in general, so perhaps I have settings off… but it is SLOW. So slow I haven’t been able to even bring up the book I want to read on it yet. Any advice?

Hoopla/Libby/Internet Archive

I hate reading on a tablet - so it seems for hoopla, Boox is the way to go. What im looking for:

Ability to read hoopla books
Ability to read magazines from Libby
Ability to read books from Internet Archive
Ability to read some pdfs

Got a tax refund, so willing to splurge. Color is an option if it is good quality. Want to be able to read the above stuff easily… what’s a good screen size for magazines?

Thank you!

Magazines on pocketbook iPad 3

Ok… so one of the reasons I got this pb was believing the integrated Libby app would allow me to read magazines through it. Was i hoodwinked? I can’t find them on the app

EDIT: Pocketbook INKPAD color 3, not iPad lol

Eink with Hoopla

Got a tax refund- have an older PW, newer PB, but nothing that can run a Hoopla app. I just can’t read books on iPads or Fires…. So what’s something simple that when I want a hoopla book, I can read it on it?

My local library partners with 13 other libraries Libby-wise. I just purchased a Pocketbook Inkpad 3… I was able to get my main library linked, but the other libraries aren’t going well. The cards in the app don’t show account numbers. Anyone deal with something similar?

Ok, odd one… do libraries ever offer to put on those book jacket protectors for personal books? For a fee I’d assume. I have a handful of books with delicate covers but lack the talent of any sort of wrapping.

Edit: I appreciate the kindly responses. It was a mere question. Heaven forbid people would take an interest in protecting books and providing additional income to libraries. Best wishes.

Ok, I’ve narrowed it down. Help me decide between these two? It will be in addition to my kindle pw

I’d like to be able to read stuff from Open Library (Internet archive), Libby books that don’t work on Kindles, Hoopla books, and pdfs.

Color not a huge concern, but if it doesn’t affect reading terribly, I could go that direction.

Enjoy the PW, but also want to borrow books from Internet Archive and read some books that came from a certain website (only as a last resort!) kobo? Boox?

And lastly, do any of these support the Hoopla app?

Ty!

Sorry if this has been discussed before… have a kindle PW. Been running into Libby books that aren’t kindle compatible. What do you recommend for a good reader with the paper white appearance?

Also, would I be able to use recommended device to read material off of Internet Archive? As in, does it have webpage ability?

Started Libby in February. Read about 6 books on there (mostly read physical). All were on kindle. Now I’ve hit a string of three in a row that aren’t Kindle compatible. I understand that each library has its own Libby library, but can someone spitball how many Libby books can’t be read on kindle? Like half? A quarter?

Reason is, do I need to look at a Kobo or something? I need the paper white look. I just can’t read on a Fire or iPad or computer.

Thank you!

I noticed when I took a long bath this stuff come off my face… I shower daily and wash my face at night. There’s a lot that sloughs off. Im guessing dead skin, but why so much if I clean daily?
