Basically question in title. Will the teams who played and activated the gold plan even be honoured?

So I’ve been thinking about this, and I think it was a long time coming, maybe something made as the journey went along.

Watts played for Ottawa in year 1 of her PWHL career, but wasn’t given an opportunity to shine. After year 1 she left and decided to be with Toronto.

She was known to be a good player, but hadn’t produced like she would have as promised.

So she took the two years in Toronto, trained and showed what she could do. She was given the ice time and opportunities to build up her reputation.

Now she’s built it, she wants to see what’s out there and proudly enough, knows what she’s worth.

So either things happened coincidentally or it was planned, it seemed to have worked out in her favour.

Any holes in this theory?
