Final verdict?

After a lot of reviews and suggestion on reddit, I planned on buying Oppo k13, but flipkart said, " We have stock, Just...... Not for you". So now I gotta expand my research a bit T-T. I have a few options on my list :

Samsung m36 (6/128 at 20k)

Samsung A17 (6/128 at 22k)

Samsung M17 (8/128 at 20k)

realme P4x (8/128 at 21k)

Poco M7 plus (8/128 at 18k)

oppo K14x (6/128 at at 20k)

Motorola G57 power/ G37 power (8/128 at 19k)

Motorola G67 power (8/128 at 21.7k)

I also had oneplus nord CE 6 lite (6/128 at 25.2 k), Motorola edge 70 fusion (8/128 at 26.6k ) and motorola edge 60 fusion (12/256 at 26.9k) but they are way over my budget. My parents are okay abt it and said that they can extend upto 30k, but I don't wanna spend more than 23k on a phone since I wanna by a laptop by the end of the year and I would rather increase the budget for a really good laptop than to spend it on a phone. My main priority is longer reliability. I want a good all-rounder that lasts for atleast 4 years smoothly. I mostly use it for doomscrolling and studying (like for notes and pdfs) and for basic stuffs like chatting, calls etc. I don't game, So that's not an issue. Help me choose the best pick for me. Feel free to mention any other phones, if they're a good VFM. Thanks :) (Please don't recommend CMF 2pro, realme p3 5g or nothing 3a, It's not available in any of the offline store here, If you do know someone who's selling either of these phones brand-new/sealed piece, kindly lemme know )

Edit: bought realme p4x at 21k (8/128 variant), yaaaayy!!!!!! Thank you for your recommendations :)

Best smartphone recommendation under INR 17k for a college student

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to buy a new smartphone with a budget of ₹16–17k (I can stretch to ₹19k if it's really worth it).

My priorities are:

  • Reliability and consistent performance over the long term
  • Should comfortably last at least 4 years
  • Minimum 8GB RAM + 128GB storage
  • At least 5000mAh battery
  • 2–3 years of OS updates (or more)
  • Decent camera, especially in low light (doesn't have to be amazing)
  • I rarely game, so gaming performance isn't a priority.
  • I don't mind compromising on display quality if everything else is good.

The phones I'm currently considering are:

  • Realme P3 5G
  • CMF Phone 2 Pro (if it gets restocked)
  • Samsung Galaxy M35 (if it gets restocked)
  • Samsung Galaxy M17

I'm also open to any other brand/model if you think it's a better long-term choice.

I've seen a lot of recommendations for the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, but I'm a bit skeptical because of the negative discussions around OnePlus over the last few years. Is it still a good buy?

Also, should I buy now or wait for the Independence Day sales?

For context, I've been using a Samsung Galaxy A02 Core for the past 7 years. It doesn't have any scratches on the screen so far.

I'd really appreciate recommendations from people who have used these phones long-term. Thanks! I'm from India btw
