How to stay organized

I read a lot of posts from people who clearly stay organized around wine. They know all of the details. I’m envious. I want to start being more serious about wine, but I’m overwhelmed by the amount of information out there. Can anyone suggest anything about staying organized and focused in this hobby? (I love champagne, sancerre, and dessert wines.)
