I have a crush on my friend
I (20F) have a crush on my (20F) friend. We are also roommates. We also have a friend group. I don’t want to ruin the friendship. But I know I have a crush on her and like we are both very flirty with friends for fun but unfortunately to the point I ended up crushing on her. Plus, this is my first time crushing on a girl. So that’s very new to me as well. I really like her.
Then the problem is, this weird thing where her and our other friend think I’m gay starting from a few months back. Then said mutual friend jokes about me and my crush dating. My crush doesn’t ever shut her down about it. But she shows no reaction though. Plus she jokes about being gay or bisexual herself but usually after all the flirt jokes and stuff now her and our mutual friend are pushing my ass to get a boyfriend. Or we both talk about how hot men are or something. So now I am confused. Has a hint been dropped or has it just been our usual flirting dynamic for fun? Because it really doesn’t help that we flirt on a regular basis.
Do I attempt asking the mutual friend and hope she doesn’t spill the part where I have a crush that makes things awkward for me and my friend? Is it possible for me to get my answer without exposing myself??? Or should I just let myself enjoy our friendship and hide my feelings for the sake of things???
