How to socially navigate taking 2.5 weeks off for rhinoplasty - my husband works at my workplace

I know questions like these are probably asked a lot “what do you tell people?” etc… and I’ve seen many answers are to just not tell anyone at all because people probably won’t notice.

To me, my dorsal hump is quite noticeable as well as the size of my nose. I plan on getting a rhinoplasty in a few months, and I’m trying to figure out what to tell people, if at all. Biggest caveat about “not telling people” is that my husband and I share the same workplace. We have all the same coworkers. The atmosphere where I work is pretty close knit and “fun”. I wouldn’t necessarily mind if people knew, but I also don’t want to draw unnecessary attention or judgement to myself. Any advice…?

Help me pick a dress for a September outdoor PNW coastal-ish wedding?

Wedding website says “cocktail/semi formal” but also then calls it “island formal”. The venue is mostly outdoors, and takes place in WA San Juan Islands, which are charming coastal-like small towns with lots of evergreen trees.

I can’t decide on a dress. I have around the same skin tone as the women in these photos, dark features and a lot of tattoos. I want to be comfortable and not have to worry about a form fitting dress all day. Any suggestions welcome :)

When introducing a friend and your new partner, who do you introduce to whom?

Say you were just hanging out with a close friend (A), and for context she is a girl and is married to your other close friend, and then you guys came across the girl you recently started to (unofficially) date (B).

Are you introducing them a “this is my friend A”, or “this is B”?

Everything I see on the internet is in regard to professional settings or “rank”… I was just in this situation and the meeting went pretty awkwardly and am just wondering if it should’ve been introduced differently.

Where to paddleboard but also fly fish?

I would love to find a place within 2 hrs to both fly fish and paddleboard this weekend. I was thinking around Mirror Lake, but I almost am worried the water will be too cold to get in. Anyone have recommendations where it’ll still be hot out but has good fishing? I’ve only ever paddleboarded at Causey (which I love) but want to try somewhere else. Thanks!

It’s always so special to be around these creatures

Without fail I always feel so grateful when I get to spend time with owls. Please practice ethical birding / photography!

I finally did it. I actually shed a tear. What is or was your nemesis bird?

Personally, I don’t count lifers (or first of the years) until I see them. Only once I’ve laid eyes on them do I subsequently ID by sound. I have spent hours of my life the past several years hanging around calling Soras, sometimes within feet of them and never getting a look. It finally happened, when I least expected it, and it was amazing.
