I wanted give my input on the whole Katara vs toph thing and this is just my personal opinion. When it comes to ranking and scaling, Katara and toph are the only 2 benders who I believe are interchangeable. You can rank one over the other and it wouldn’t change a thing. It doesn’t take away from their accomplishments and feats as benders of their respective elements. So to make it easier on myself. I would just say toph is the STRONGEST bender and Katara is the most POWERFUL bender (both outside the avatar of course). Toph has feats that require more STRENGTH and Katara has feats that require more POWER. They’re equals. But all in all, I genuinely think it just comes down to personal preference. You’d be correct with either choice.

Neytiri and Varang needed more interactions. Their stories are practically the same but different outcomes but they never really talked fr. I wanted them to be my Jake vs Quaritch type. But we never got it. I hope in the next movies we’ll get it. I feel like there was so much we learn and touch on through THEIR eyes because it’s their home. Varang used to be forest people like Neytiri. I feel like we got robbed of a lot when it came to them.
