I‘m curious what some of your cosmetic or functional accessories have been. Things like phone mounts, floor mats, license plate frames, etc.
Bonus points for pictures so we can all share ideas.

I’m curious about the different coverage packages they sell when buying a new car like an M340.
Things like Wheel and Tire coverage, Windshield replacement, etc . What sort of pricing did you see for these and did you end up getting them? Which ones make sense to strongly consider?
I’m looking at joining the club with a new M340.
Can I get some feedback on general maintenance and costs I can expect to pay for general wear and tear up to around 50K miles? Like how often for tires, brakes, flushes and other stuff?
Just trying to get an idea what to expect owning this car. I don’t like surprises, lol.
I’ve been shopping around for an M340, but haven’t driven one yet. I mainly will be driving during morning and afternoon commutes.
I do routine 6 hour round trip highway trips around 5-6 per year. I’ve read the adaptive suspension is important, but how is this car driving on city versus long highway trips?
What did Mike or other HIT people like DY say about training abs for definition and growth? Did they have a specific protocol? I can’t go super heavy with ab workouts that involve weights, because I tend to get cramps that put me down for weeks.
I searched and only saw a few threads, which didn’t seem to address it too well. Anyone have thoughts on this?
Had 24hours in a 2026 X3, while my previous generation was in the shop.
Good:
The exterior styling grew on me. Not too shabby
Ride quality is better than the previous generation, quite noticeable to me. Very smooth
Performance - I had the 4 cylinder and it was still solid. Nice and peppy. This is the selling point.
Bad:
While the exterior grew on me, the rear end is still hard for me to like. Someone said it looks like a converted vehicle to handle wheelchairs loading from the back. It’s just flat like a mini van. License plate is really low and the trunk open button is too low. Big miss by BMW. Rest of the car is good but the bag end ruins it.
Interior - frankly it’s as cheap looking as people describe. Part of it is the minimalist look that comes across as cheap, but overall it looks like a basic Corolla.
The center cup holders are silly to me. I like the space but it looks like a big bucket just there for whatever. No styling behind it.
Air vents and interior door handles - who designed these? A 2 year old? Door handle is shocking it made it past people at BMW. Also I get a physical control for the air vent up or down but not the fan speed? I get they want you to use auto air speed with a set temp but getting into either a really hot or cold car means the fan blows full blast when you get in for a while.
Steering wheel - why is it square? Not that big of a deal but gimmicky and silly.
I wanted to like this since I’m in the market for one, but I need to wait and see how I feel later. Maybe some minor updates in the 2027 will help.
Anyone on the fence about buying new now or just waiting for the 2027 model? With a redesign I would assume it will have an improvement in performance and interior, but I do like the current model.
I’m torn on what to do.
I had a Mercedes C43 and loved it but the mileage was getting high and I traded it for an X3. I miss the C43 a lot, and the M340 is an upgrade to that old car.
I do like my X3, so I’ve looked at the X3M50 but some of the styling and the interior has been hard for me to get with. I do like the extra space of an SUV and I do commute a lot, so the possible better ride quality over city streets is a plus.
I really like the M340 but compared to the SUV I lose space and possible ride quality. Please help me come to my senses and get a badass M340. I know o would love it but just can’t pull the trigger yet
