Ridgid Blower release is getting close.

I know some have seen it in their stores but now it’s finally in one of my stores. Looks like someone may have grabbed one already.

Note it is not showing in the store app or the display yet. The worker said it was not on his paper that showed the items going into the display. He had a layout guide of some sort for Ridgid and there was one for Makita as well.

He didn’t know when the release date or on shelf date was for this store. He thought there may be an upcoming promo November 1 (can’t remember what he called it).

All I know is I waited for this thing and then decided not to buy it once I had the chance. I don’t know what I’m waiting for.

E3600 RIP?

Came home today and noticed the E3600 in the garage was off, no lights on the screen, wouldn’t respond. I then noticed there was no power at the outlet. Flipped the breaker on and the E3600
Started smoking! I unplugged it and ran it outside.

It appeared the BMS or something else inside had fried. After it stopped smoking I tried a restart for whatever reason. Hope? I held the button/s down for over a minute multiple times , nothing. I think it is cooked (no pun intended).

TMI, purchased it refurbished off eBay. It looked brand new and had been great so far.

I will note I also bought a 500W car charger on eBay and it was missing the long cable to the battery. The Pecron eBay store was excellent and shipped one from China to me before the date I needed it.

Unfortunately the E3600 is past the 30 day eBay return so it should go under the warranty.

Sent an email to Pecron since it was after hours. There was quite a bit of smoke and burnt electronics smell so I don’t think it’s coming back to life. Hopefully they end up replacing this quickly or quicker than the other warranty claims I’ve seen reported here.

Pecron beta app crashing

Anyone else getting crash errors from the betta app? Error states Pecron Crashed. I have an E3600 and the app won’t even open. The standard app and web browser connection still work. Have not reinstalled the app yet.

iOS 27, iPhone15 Pro Max. Submitted a report to the developer.

Putting the Nuke Stealth to work

Told my concrete contractor I wanted steps coming off both directions. He only did steps on the long side so I redid his forms tonight after work and added the step I wanted. The smaller steps are what I would take when coming from the garage and it avoids a 16” drop-off on what used to be the end.

He probably won’t be to happy but he/his guys didn’t do it right. He still has to frame up a mower ramp on the far side past the steps anyway so he can attach the end of the step to the wall and recheck the step slope after the rebar tie-in. Everything is to spec and matches what he had before.

Thinking of using my E3600 with an Ecoflow Stream

I have an E3600 that is currently sitting unused or that I use to run a garage fridge overnight and then recharge at 10% draw in the day with power generated from the Stream device listed below. This way I don’t recharge it all at once and it sips power from what the Stream generates.

The Ecoflow Stream is hooked up to 4 Aiko 450W panels that feed up to 1200W into my house to offset my power. Saves about $30-35 a month. I do waste so power when it over generates either at the panel level as the stream clips solar input at 1200W or i also wast solar energy if my home uses less power than what the panels generate.

So, I’m thinking I’ll have 3 panels ran in series to the Pecron’s solar port 1 instead of the Stream. The other panel will run to solar port 2 and eventually I will add another 2 panels to max out the Pecron’s solar input.

I will then use an MJ32 cable, possibly Pecron’s that has the XT60 ends, to MC4 connectors that will connect to the Stream.

The goal is to just offset my base loads. I bought the Stream before I had the E3600. The Stream will be set at 260W or 360W draw to feed the house either 24/7 or just for certain hours if I can figure out how to get the Stream to output 360W at night and more during the day like 480W. This works in Europe but doesn’t appear to work on my Utah version. Could be a firmware upgrade that I don’t have.

Eventually I will add another battery to the Pecron, Pecron’s own or a Server Rack Battery.

Am I nuts? I’m thinking it will be easier than a Transfer switch since everything is already in my garage and working minus the cables between the devices. The breaker panel is across the house in the basement so I’d have to redo all the solar cables. Instead i can adjust the output if the Stream up to 1200W if I have enough battery power.

My power usage is fairly low, with the Stream connected my bill was only $35 a month in April and May, $60-65 in Jun and July with August being $130 with the AC running.

I would essentially be using my Pecron as a charge controller for the internally battery and outputting “sola” energy to the Stream when I’m generating enough power, advantage is that I offset my base loads at night instead of just 8-6pm.

Incase you are wondering, I generated 245Wh through the Stream in June and that is with some of the energy being clipped by the micro inverter. Not a-lot but not bad for 4small panels.

Eventually If i grow my array or if I needed emergency power, I could do a transfer switch but I don’t think I’m there yet.

Finally snagged a Nuke hydraulic.

Been looking for a while, always seemed to be out of stock so I saw a store today with 3 listed in stock. I went there and there were none in the display. Asked an employee about them and she looked in their system and it also showed 3 available.

One cool thing I noticed is their app pulled up a camera so she could look at an upper bay and zoom in on the stickers to locate it.

I purchase the Nuke hydraulic impact driver with the battery and immediately returned the battery because I have plenty already. The battery credit with tax was $78 so the driver came to $103 with tax.

Probably the only Nuke tool I’ll get other than the blower, 4.5” saw or something else new that comes out or I may pick up other items on clearance instead like the sub compact recip saw as long as they are below the $79 or sale price point that they were at previously like the $8 fan and $39 single drawer case that I picked up.

I pulled the trigger and it feels powerful. Now I just need to make or remodel something.

How are you doing the Nuke battery hacks?

Are you buying them in-store and returning the battery? Are you returning the same day? Waiting a few days? I can’t get anything online to work
Some say on-store only which is fine.

I’ve seen the normal sub compact/recip saw and others for $79 as a bare tool so I’m assuming the Nuke tools are a similar price once you take the battery back and Home Depot hopefully won’t blacklist you for returning 3-4 batteries. I honestly don’t need any more 4Ah batteries but I could use a few more tools.

New Ecoflow Delta 2 Max for $500.

Seems like it was a great deal. Home Depot clerk also said there are 21 stores with the 1024Wh version that have those on clearance for $250.

Recently purchased and Ecoflow Stream microinverter and 4 panels rated around 450W ea. Recording this as an occasional record and for those that may have questions since there isn't a lot of information in the US on forums about it. Note I also posted this on the DIYSolar forum but I think it's more appropriate here.

Today, the second day of having it connected, was sunnier than the previous and has decent output. The system produced 7.9kWH today. So far, so good.

I’m new but as far as I understand, the US version of this micro inverter has 4 inputs, combining ports 2 and 3 together and then limits the input/output on each port to 400W for a total of 1200W. Note I do have a dedicated circuit with with GFCI, AFCI and 10AWG wire out to the garage where the inverter is, the app is set to 1200W.

I had limited space to mount the panels where they would not be shaded and to keep them away from kids, in fact, only 3 were mounted on a pergola and the fourth I guess will be moved seasonally as needed. Goal was longer power production throughout the day and to limit clipping in Summer on the combined port.

Here is the layout and direction they face. Haven’t adjusted the angles.

Panel 1 - South
Panel 2 - West
Panel 3 - South for today’s results - Will end up facing East or South depending on the season and production. Ideally opposite the West facing panel in the summer.
Panel 4 - East

ALL panels are currently set at @ 20 degrees, trying to get an angle that will work year round.

Hoping to get a little more production with a full day of Sun, not bad for late April.
Cost: $814
$300 - Ecoflow Stream Microinverter
$420 - 4- 650W panels ($105ea new, local)
$38 - 30ft 10AWG PV Cable w/sheathing.
$56 - 2-20ft 10AWG PV Cable w/sheathing ($28ea)

Now the wife wants the inverter moved 20ft into the garage instead of the pergola. I decided not to extend power to pergola, rather keep everything on the circuit dedicated to just the solar. If I end up needing power at the pergola, I have a house circuit nearby that I can connect to.

Add: $400?
$85- 75ft of 10AWG PV Cable- non shielded.
$140 - Metal conduit -EMT
$12 - Junction box
$36 misc connections
? - Disconnect switch.
? - Grounding

She’s killing my ROI
