26 plate Audi Q2 steering wheel suddenly looks dry/pale after hand car wash – any ideas?
Hii, please help! I have a brand-new Audi Q2 black edition (2 months old).
The steering wheel was completely even and matte black when I got the car. After taking it to a local hand car wash (they cleaned the inside & out) - I’ve noticed the top of the steering wheel has gone much lighter & looks dry/chalky compared with the rest. It almost looks like the surface finish has changed or dried out.
Photo 1 - steering wheel brand new.
Photos 2-4 - steering wheel now.
It’s also been very hot recently & I use a Disclok wheel lock, so I’m not sure if that could be related or if it’s just coincidence.
Has anyone seen this before? And if so, what should I do😭. I can’t say for sure it was the hand car wash - it could be something else I’ve got no idea!
The car is so new that I don’t want to make it worse by applying the wrong product.
Any advice would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
