Unremovable spots after hand car wash

Hi! I left my car at a hand car wash and picked it up, in the dark couldn’t see but after few days noticed these spots. I tried cleaning them with water and microfiber cloth as well as some cleaning chemicals and they wouldnt go away.

Is this paint damage or can it be cleaned off? I dont feel any bumps or difference to paint with my nail/finger, but they are colorful like oil and wont come off at all.

I use manual contactless car washes often and it doesn’t seem like its left over from drying water but I could be wrong.

Could you help me identify whats going on here? Thanks!

Reddish Orange Spots inside car

Why are there little reddish brown spots appearing on the top of my windshield in my car? More appear as time goes on specifically on the driver side. There are none on the right.

As you can see some are on the rearview mirror and collision prevention ez pass center pieces.

How to get rid, prevent? It’s not due to tint. Actually happened in my last car with no tint too.

What can I do to fix this?

Hi everyone! I was cleaning my car today (2019 cadillac xt5) and this small open compartment is peeling pretty badly, all the felt is peeling down to the plastic and the look is really bothering me. Also, I always put my lip liner and sharpener there because I usually retouch it wherever I go, so there’s lip liner stuck to the sides. I tried seeing if I could find some plastic lining, but had no luck. Does anyone have any advice? Tried finding adhesive felt lining, but I’m not too experienced with that and I’m scared I’ll mess it up since it’s front and center of the car.

Car wash scratches

I just got my new car less than a month ago, it has gotten pretty dirty so I went to the new car wash down the street from me that my dad was raving about. Car is absolutely scuffed up with circle scratches everywhere even on the windows :(. Car isn’t even fully clean either. How can I fix this? I’m not confident that my car had a wax on it when I got it so I’m not sure how to start fixing it.

How to get cake frosting out of seat?

It might be hard to see, but my son smeared his cake pop all over the seat frosting got down into the little cooling vents on the seat. Does anyone have an experience getting these holes cleaned out? I was thinking using a steamer to heat it up and then wiping it out, but didn't know if it would damage the leather or components inside the seat. Thanks!

Ceramic coating or Protection film ?

Hi, I got 2026 XLE and thinking to do coating or protection layer as I drive ~150 miles a day for 5-6 days a week on highway. What do you recommend ? Also, is it better to replace the front bumper and hood than paying for coating / protection film ? I am planning ti keep the car atleast 250,000 - 300,000 miles to get ROI .. so, 7-8 years.. any thought ?

Cigarette on headliner, any fix?

This happened, a lit cigarette touched the roof near the sun visor.

So now, what am I looking at? Is this roof surface done for good? Or are there fixes that could disguise what happened.

SHINY CAR STUFF?

I have a bottle of that stuff that I just purchased because someone came by my house and used it on my Toyota. It was in worse shape and I thought I’d risk it. Is it a good move to use it here?
Thanks

Hit tree branch, what to do?

Was borrowing a car, hit a tree branch at about 30mph. This car is a lease, maybe 2 years left.

I initially thought it was just the front but it goes down the side as well. They seem to disappear with water, which Google says it’s the clear coat only and can be polished out.

The big problem is, that there is a “rock chip” on the front side. Seems it’s already rusting. I assume it’s related.

What is the best thing to do? DIY? Does anyone have experience with leases and how they handle scratches and rock chips?

Help with which polisher

I'm a hobbyist polisher. I know my way around auto detailing but I also don't claim to be a seasoned professional. I'm looking to get a new 15mm DA polisher to take care of my cars. I'm replacing my TorqX polisher, which is junk and I bought many years ago without knowing any better and have suffered through it until now. I think I've narrowed my search down to the Maxshine M15 Pro, the Liquid Elements T4200, or the Griot's G15. Does anyone have experience with one or more of these and have insight?

Convertible water leak

I live somewhere that recently got a lot of rain and my convertible leaked through the tonneau cover into my rear seats cause the drains were plugged, i removed the seats and have them drying but the rear carpets in the foot well of both the driver and passenger side are pretty wet to the touch as well when i get my hand under the carpet i can tell the foam which is a couple inches thick has absorbed a lot of water when i squish it what is the best way to go about drying out the carpet to avoid getting a mildewy moldy smell, ive tried with a shop vac a bit and squeezing out what i can from the carpets but their still fairly wet is there anything i can do without attempting to pull up the carpets and fully drying everything?

Ceramic Car Window Tinting

Any recommendations for a place that does a good job for a fair price to keep the sun off kids faces, save the dashes, and save on AC gas costs.

It’s a stock family sedan so not looking for racing style or anything illegal. Also steering clear of cheapo- mobile- bubbling-up- next- year service but can’t afford luxury either I guess.

Any price experiences if you have them so I can mitigate my expectations. I can only afford to keep this car forever so willing to spend a little money on a long term investment and want it done right. Thinking 70% in fronts and 50% in back windows to maintain safety.

I’ve googled around but don’t have much experience with aftermarket modifications. For collision work I like Terry’s Autobody but looking for a place that’s more window tint focused. Thanks in advance everybody!

Edit: Thanks everyone! Lots of great recommendations to check out!

Any tips?

Literally no idea what happened to my seat, but the leather appears to have dried out or something. Any advice? I tried rubbing some leather moisturizer but no dice.

I CANNOT keep my car clean for longer than 2 days. I'm losing my mind and I need help.

I know "black cars get dirtier easier." But let me give some examples of what I'm dealing with. 2 days after I clean it at the self-use power-wash stations: I'm at work, parked next to *other black cars*, it rains a little, All the other cars looks fine/normal. But mine is Immediately as bad as it could possibly be.

Not only that, I'll park on the road, and the mist from the water of my neighbor's sprinklers that don't even reach my car hit it, and in the morning it's also completely speckled.

And it's not just water problems, I'll park in the garage next to my sister's black car, and after a few days, my car is coated in dust. And her's looks totally clean. And all she does is take it through a car wash every week.

I got this car just a few months ago, and when I got it the paint was pretty faded, like it's just been siting in the sun for a year. So I spent like $200 on beauty products, and 5 hours of labor fixing it:

"Clean slate" surface cleanser wash.

Clay bar.

Meguiar's ultimate compound.

Meguiar's polish

Meguiar's wax

I love the car(c6 corvette), but it's so sad walking out to it and it looking like the owner doesn't take car of it, like it's been rotting in a barn for years. Not to mention how annoying it is when everyone else assumes I never even wash it. Seeing words and such drawn in the dust when I see it.

*TLDR:*

is there some kind of "anti-water" and/or "anti-dust" wax you'd recommend? Or some way I could apply it without it building static electricity all throughout it? Or some way to get rid of the static?

I'm not tryna buy some $200 buffer just to use it once, I already have a bunch of microfiber cloths.
