How come artificialanalysis.ai ranks Gemma4 above Qwen3.6 27b in SciCode

Just came across this coding benchmark: SciCode

Artificialanalysis.ai reports a ranking which contradicts the feeling we've towards those models in real life coding.

Is Gemma 4 really that good, or a benchmarking issue?

EDIT: The contribution of this benchmark to the Intelligence index of artificialanalysis.ai:

How the Far-Right Manufactures Fear in Germany (and Europe) over Ceuta

This is an example of the far-right capitalizes on lies to promote fear and xenophobia:

  • 1st lie: Ceuta is part of Schengen area, it is Not. [ Source: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:42000A0922(04) ] // quoted: To the same end, Spain shall maintain checks on internal flights and on regular ferry connections departing from the towns of Ceuta and Melilla to a destination in another State party to the Convention //
  • 2nd lie: Migrants are going to reach Germany from Ceuta. Ceuta not only located in Africa, another continent, but inside Morocco and historically ruled predominately by Morocco (from the Amazigh 2700 years ago, until the European Imperial Expansion when the city fell to Portugal); so it is funny when they label the event as an "invasion" of Europe, while this city is not even in Europe !!

On top of that, a lot of the videos being shared right now are recycled footage from old border incidents, falsely repackaged and sold as brand-new events in Ceuta. I think it's our responsibility to refute such bs we see propagating online.

Minimum VRAM GPU to run DeepSeek-V4-Flash-0731 Q4_K_XL at around 30 t/s ?

Hello guys,

I'm curious about running DeepSeek-V4-Flash-0731 locally. Since it’s a Mixture of Experts (MoE) model with only 13B active parameters, I was hoping the VRAM requirements might be manageable.

Did someone tried out in some reasonable GPU sizes up to 48GB VRAM?

Thanks for the feedback!

Absurd claim: the distilled model outperforms the originals

As an AI community of LLM experts, are we really going to stay silent while US officials make absurd claims to push anti-consumer laws?

Not only does the release timeline between Fable and K3 make high-scale distillation impossible, but distillation itself—even if executed perfectly—can never produce a superior model.

No "Open" models from OpenAI after GPT-OSS?

Hello,

It's been a year since we've seen a small open model from OpenAI, namely the GPT-OSS.

Is there any plan to have more open models published? is GPT-OSS considered discontinued now?

Thanks!

Moroccan here, let's support Africa and end the hate chain

I have absolutely no issues with Senegal or any other African team.

It’s time to flip the script on the past and work toward a stronger Africa, whether that's through football or real-world development.

In the current world cup, we can clearly see that many western teams underestimated African teams, and we're doing good so far. 🚀

Without open source LLMs, US AI companies could have already monopoled the technology

For such technology with clear importance and impact on all of us, I believe that making it open source is an ethical duty, otherwise, especially with the 1-sided politics of the US we experience today, they could have already monopolized the technology by now, maybe make it exclusively available to US companies only, and starve the entire world including Europe.

You could disagree with China on many topics, but the fact they released a couple of powerful open source LLMs is a direct contribution to humanity.

What do you think what should be the future AI model.

Recommended extensions to manage change approval

Hi community,

Is there a trusted extension or any pi setting to let me verify the changes before they get applied ? More or less the same as copilot does.

About Malaysian society & What Malaysians think about Moroccans & Arabs?

Hey guys,

I'm Moroccan and I had the opportunity to visit Malaysia recently, I liked very much the country, food, and the kind people, and the especially that multi-cultural part of it (many ethnicities living together in harmony),

What do you think about Moroccans & Arabs? Do Malaysians usually have good impressions or negative impressions about Arabs, and specifically about Moroccans?

(P.S. especially that while exploring Putrajaya, I discovered by chance a Moroccan style Pavilion, which was amazing).

I'm also curious about how Malaysia is managing the multi-culture part, since, in some regions like in Penang it feels like more Chinese vibe or about 50%. Are originally Chinese Malaysians (if I'm allowed to label them so) satisfied with the government and do they experience discrimination or not at all, I hope not because of what I've seen, and this is very rare race combination compared to any other country. And could be a success story that no other country achieved in terms of integration, I'm living in Germany and I know the sensitivity of such issues which created here some hate-vibe and some far-right anti-immigration political trends.

I'm not deeply informed about the history of Malaysia or its political situation, so correct me if I'm wrong about anything I've wrote up there.

Thanks!
