Purple Martins in Sacramento

Hey everyone!

I found out about these birds through the Sacramento Audubon website and I wanted to share this here. These Purple Martins have unique nesting habitats and beautiful colors, I loved seeing them this year. It is tragic that their populations have dropped so drastically.

Next year, definitely go look at them if you can, they are stunning and charismatic birds that are sparsely found on the west coast. I am very proud that we have these nearby, let me know if you all have seen them!!

Fair Oaks, CA

Found next to a bunch of Muscovy Ducks and Canadian Geese, really weird tuft, never seen it before.
