Recommendations for next one

Hey everyone! So I have a list of what I’ve played and liked / disliked. I’m wondering which next one to get. Took a break played some horror games and now back ready for a new Soulslike hah.
Which should I get next if these are the ones I’ve played?
Souls/soulslike games I’ve played:

khazan (loved)
Sekiro (didn’t love)
Nioh 3 (Loved)
Lords of the fallen 2023 (loved)
Wuchang (loved)
Lies of P (loved)
Wo Long (loved)
Wukong (loved)
All demons souls (loved)
All dark souls (loved)
Elden ring (loved)
Stellar Blade - played demo but didn’t get it ultimately - felt clunky
Bloodborne

I’m sure there are more but on my other account I can’t see right now.

March of the goblins… forever?

Have about 350 hours in Diablo 4 with my wife and I. We are having more fun with March of the Goblins than anything… I wish they’d do this event more often! The thrill of seeing a group of them plop onto the map is untouchable 😅. Anyone else having fun goblin hunting?

Ok - thanks for anyone who said to get Kazhan! Now question hah

First off what a game! Scratching the itch I needed after NIOH 3.
Curious if anyone did dual blade high dps / fast attack. If so what’s the best gear for this? I’m currently using the Butcher gear. Haven’t found butcher blades yet… not sure why… maybe they come later. But is that the right armor? Seems to help since I do howling wind but need the 6th item (weapon). Any other tips? I’m about 4 hours into the game.

The first beserker kazhan controls

Hey everyone! Does anyone have tips and tricks how to get used to the controls? The run and dodge being same button is throwing me off hugely and I don’t see an option to change this?! All other souls games I either switched the buttons or was able to dodge separately which I rely on a lot. Just overall trying to find best way to get my head around the setup. I liked NIOH 3 type E or F scheme as example. Which was close to the other NIOH. Or lords of fallen or lies of P (which I switched to match the others for run and dodge). Any techniques you all found for this dodge / run / parry concept? Also I always hate not being able to jump lol that’s a side note

I’m at a loss - any game suggestions?

So I’ve played I believe all except Code Vein and The First Berserker. I tried Sekiro but it’s not for me. I’m pretty much overall more into dodging and high DPS than big two handed weapon or parry.
With that said … even when googling… I think I have ran out of souls and soulslike games to play which is heart breaking. My favorites are lies of P, Wuchang, lords of the fallen 2023, NIOH 3.
Is code vein one I’d like in 2026?
I’ve not gotten first berserker cuz I read it’s like Sekiro.

I’ve also considered just starting Elden ring again new with new character and then getting the latest dlc but I am more looking for fresh new takes.

Sekiro… I must be crazy…

Ok. I just don’t get it. I have played all soulslike and souls and fromsoft games. I’ve beaten them all and many as NG+. Just came off NIOH3 too which I loved and I was looking for something I hadn’t played yet and realized I never ended up getting Sekiro. So I did. Maybe it’s because I like dodging and I like high DPS builds and I like… well… building and leveling up and the whole loot and hero building vibe of gaming… but I gave up on Sekiro after about 5 hours. I can’t get my head around why. I also can’t seem to find anyone else that felt this way as me… it seems everyone loves it or it’s their fave soulslike game etc. Am… I… just… crazy? Or did I miss something? 😭😭😭 I was actually so sad it didn’t land with me I feel like taking a break from gaming. This could also be the crimson desert + nioh 3 + Diablo 4 new season the past 2 months telling me I need a break… but I really had extremely high hopes for Sekiro after I read all about it online. Am I alone in this?

Just beat it… now what?

So just beat nioh 3 and it was such a great game. I plan to try nioh 2 next. I’m not one for NG+ very often.. but outside of NIOH what’s everyone playing? I also finished crimson desert last month after like 200+ hours. Playing Diablo 4 new season with my wife. But need something for a bit of a bridge game between the next NIOH to let my brain breath haha. Any suggestions?

Summon for second Ibaraki Doji fight? Nioh 3

So weird but I was trying to bring in a summon visitor for the Sealed in Stone Urn side quest but summoning isn’t working at any near shrine and says must be in mission. I’m so confused. Google said to be inside
mission zone of active mission but … I am? I think? It’s the one where I search the urn and she pops out to fight. Her second fight.

So confused - can someone tell me why?

So I have been using this crucible Seki Dual Tach which has lightning imbue for a long time and upgrading. Then I just had this Little Crow & Quick draw dual sword drop. For some reason the little crow dual is melting and staggering the enemies way faster and feels like higher DPS than the seki crucible…. Why? When looking at the stats it doesn’t make sense either does it????? Any pros of NIOH care to tell me? Is there ways to see more stats “under the hood” so to speak? Like attack speed and such?
Last - it says on the crow dual “crucible weapon damage”. Does that mean if I put it to my second melee slot but use my crucible one it’ll add damage to the crucible one or???

Nioh 3 before 2?

Almost done with NIOH3 and loving it. Not sure why I’ve never played the others! If I started on NIOH 3 will going to NIOH 2 be weird? Or not as fun? Or more fun? I purposely set to Controller setting E to get close to what nioh 2 is in case I go there.

Drops vs crafting?

Hey all new to NIOH series and about 40 hours in on NIOH3. Loving it. But the weapons and gear crafting part has me mystified. Are drops typically better rather than crafting? Also are most players using crucible weapons for mid / end game?

How long did it take you?

How long was your first play through? I read online when I got the game 30-40 hours but I just opened the second map and I’m 35 hours in. What the heck hah. Is that normal or how long did it take everyone?

Is this bugged? Headache Quest Yokai

Hey everyone
So I beat the 3rd boss then went to do some more side quest which headaches quest was on my map for finding a yokai on the castle grounds. There is no Yokai there at all. I found the recipe and says I spoke to grandfather and then “there are too many Yokai” and when I went there… no Yokai. Looked up a YouTube video there should be this rolling around guy. But nothing there. I’ve prayed and reset from shrine multiple times, still no Yokai. Any ideas ?????

Boss attempts - what’s your record?

What’s the most attempts you’ve had on a boss and which game / boss?
Was just thinking about it as I’m on NIOH3 the 3rd boss and how annoying he is lol. Out of all soulslike games I’ve played which is pretty much all; this boss takes the crown for annoyance lol.

Babu Nabuhara - wtf

I get it. I read about it. Lots of people switched to samurai etc. thing is I have done fully decked out Ninja and focused for 30 hours game play now on that and loving the game. I’ve played all soulslike games for years and love them all. Never have I seen such a strange boss design on his “reach” hitting me when I am literally not even near his big weapon thing. Is this just a patient dodge dodge tap tap type boss when in ninja form? Even then he has done some weird reaches that surely shouldn’t be hitting me and often even grabbing me from like long reach lol. So weird. What all tips do you have?

Am I doing it wrong?

Maybe it’s cuz I’m also an MMO/Open world player but I’m 20 hours in and haven’t even gotten to the second main storyline at the castle thing yet lol. Been doing side quests and now I’m feeling probably a little over powered but it seems main storyline levels with you? Anyhow… did I do this wrong? Do you do main storyline then side quests or what? Feels like maybe I was doing too much.

Hey all loving the game! Had some questions for a noob. I love the ninja style it reminds me much more to other soulslikes due to great dodge mechanisms. With that in mind I like the dual wield approach and found some solid dual wield swords at level 7. I’m now level 15 and still can’t find any better ones. Do you just stay to one type that you like best or keep using different ones? All the others feel too sluggish for me. Also for gear it’s constant gear loot pick up which is awesome but how often you actually find upgrades worth while? Seems a lot of loot but not with high rank drops for my level all is mostly way below. Does the gear scale with the map area is that why?

Hey all! Just started nioh 3.

Haven’t played the others but I am a huge soulslike fan. With that said Type D control setup feels most comfy for me but I read it’s not very “future proof” for abilities or easy controls. For any of you other soulslike players what type did you use and what custom switching around? I mean yes I can just use type A and learn it but just wanted it to ‘feel’ more like the souls R1 and R2 I’m used to.

Hey all - I’m a big time soulslike lover and I’ve never played any NIOHs yet. Not the first or 2nd. Should I dive into 3 directly? Also curious how you rate it compared to others. My faves are Wuchang, Lords of Fallen (newest one), Elden, Wukong, etc. Not sure why I’ve slept on NIOH… but I keep seeing it on my suggested titles for PS store.
