15 mg for 3 months. Increasing nightmares. Taper or increase?

I've been on mirta 15mg for 3 months. My GP insists that I stay at 15mg. My nightmares are increasing. Especially the first part of the night. I am tempted to split the tablet in two tonight, or should I stay on 15 mg and ask my GP to increase to 30mg?

Will the NHS remove this small lipoma?

Hi, UK here. This is a lipoma that sits right on top of my head. It's actually bigger than it looks (sorry I'm not good with pictures). It's about 3 cm in diameter. It's very slowly getting bigger and now that I am getting balder, it's becoming really annoying. I even get remarks at job interviews.

I've always though that the NHS would not bother with small lipomas, but yesterday I met a guy who said he had it done for free via the NHS and it wasn't much bigger than mine.

Is that possible? Or was the talking rubbish? I'm resigned to have it done privately but I see quotes starting from £1000 upwards.

Can you work for Tesco and work as a delivery rider (Uber Eats, Deliveroo) in your spare time?

I have an interview for a part time role at Tesco soon. As the part time hours won't be enough for me to live, I would look for a second job or work as a food delivery rider in the spare days.

Does Tesco allow this? And should I be upfront at my interview?

I'm on 15mg. Is it ok to split the tablet in 2 and take half at night and half in the morning?

Hi, I'm going through hell on earth due to personal circumstances.

At the moment I have restarted taking Mirtazapine and I take 15 mg before bedtime as suggested by my NHS GP (UK).

I have my next appointment in 3 weeks time.

Taking it at bedtime makes me sleep 6 hours but the mornings are absolutely awful. I wake up very suicidal and with no will to live, let alone eat.

What if I take 7.5mg at bedtime and the rest in the morning? Would that make me sleepy or more calm?

Thanks

I don't drive. Do I still inform the DVLA that my health is worsening?

Hi, I am aware that the DVLA that says that you have to inform them if your health get worse and you're not supposed to drive. I have severe depression and suicidal thoughts and never in my life I'd want to drive in my circumstance.

I haven't driven for years, I don't have a car nor planning to buy one. I only use my driving licence as a form of ID. Nowadays you can't do anything without a driving licence. It would be a pity to surrender it and then have no forms of ID.

My question is: if I don't drive, do I still need to surrender my driving licence?

I need to restart Mirtazapine: which dosage?

First of all, let me say that I'm in UK so some GP rules may not apply to some of you.

After a period of severe suicidal ideation and a couple of hospitalisations, my GP (NHS) put me on 15 Mirta (lowed possible dose in UK, I think).

I stayed on this dose for two weeks, then I talked to another GP in the same practice and we agreed to continue with 7.5mg (splitting the tablet in 2) because I was oversleeping and eating like a pig.

In the meantime, I was referred to a couple of self help networks, while waiting for talking therapies, and this helped me a litte.

So, I decided to play God and, after 3 weeks at 7.5mg, I decided to quit cold turkey. At the 4th day of withdrawal, I noticed that the world started to fall apart again, but I decided to counteract with over the counter supplements (theanine, taurine, 5-htp), but things went for the worse. In total I was 8 days without medication.

Yesterday I called the emergency services (111 in UK) and a GP kindly prescribed 5 tablets of Mirta for the time being until Tuesday (Monday is bank holiday in the UK).

So I took 15mg yesterday night. I slept like a log, but i woke up suicidal and depressed as f. I couldn't even eat.

I read on another forum (Surviving Antidepressants) that if you decide to go back to medication, you should do it at the last dose that was working, in my case 7.5mg.

So my question is: I have two more nights before I see my GP. Should I take 7.5mg or 15mg a night?
