Can anyone explain wraparound verbs to me?

Hi, can anyone help explain wraparound verbs to me like “heb nodig”, how they are conjugated, and in what contexts to use them (coming from an English speaker).

Thanks,

Can anybody help explain grammatical gender to me?

Hi, I have been learning Dutch on and off for several years, and I understand many grammatical concepts but I have never been able to understand grammatical gender. A “het” noun can become “de” in the plural, and some nouns simply don’t make sense as to how the article changes. Can anybody help me understand this concept?

What app do you guys use to make animations?

This summer I’ve had a lot of free time, and I want to learn how to animate. What free apps do you recommend to use for someone who has next to no experience animating?

Where can I easily learn to code Python for free?

I have always wanted to code and I have tried several free online programs, but they always tend to fall short of what I was looking for. They always paywall after a few lessons, or they keep spamming annoying notifications to my inbox. What did you guys use to learn how to code easily?

What is it that you guys like so much about Sanrio?

Hi guys, for context I am a rising junior in high school, and I have a friend who is sort of into Sanrio stuff. She is kind of alternative and has a lot of Kuromi stuff. I’m curious, what exactly is the appeal of Sanrio stuff to teens and adults, and what is some media that can show this well to me?

Thanks,

Are there any American dialects that pronounce the T in "kitten" as hard?

Hi, I'm trying to learn about dialectology and I've heard several people in my life pronounce words with medial T's, like "kitten" or "butter", with a hard plosive sound instead of the usual tap seen in Midwestern dialects. For context, these people are US-born, but have Polish and (Ashkenazi) Jewish relatives. Is there any specific American dialect that has this feature or is this just variation in their speech?
