I used to go for plain black/white only. Lately I’ve been trying more colors and patterns and it actually makes outfits feel less boring. Still not sure how far to go with it though. What do you usually prefer?
Do you trust AI alone for business translation, or do you still involve human editors for anything customer-facing?
Basically, I run a small subscription based meal planning platform for fitness coaches and nutrition consultants. Over the past year, we started getting signups from outside the English speaking countries, especially from Portugal and Poland, so I figured it was time to translate parts of the website and onboarding flow
I relied almost entirely on AI tools for translation and mainly because they were fast, they seemed pretty reliable with all their smart features. For basic pages, everything looked fine. The grammar seemed correct, the meaning, let’s say, was mostly there, and it felt like an easy win compared to paying for professional localization agency
But after launching, we started getting small signals that something wasn’t working. Basically, a few users emailed support asking for clarification about subscription terms, cancellation rules, and feature descriptions that should have been obvious. One customer even mentioned that parts of the site felt didn;t make any sense, which made them hesitate before subscribing
Well, as I see now, the problem wasn’t in AI's ability to translate words. It’s whether it can communicate trust in a business context. Marketing copy, onboarding language, and payment-related explanations probably matter more than I expected.
After this case, I’m seriously considering hiring Ad Verbum for professional translation because I’d rather have content that sounds natural and clear instead of relying only on automation
Curious how others approach this
not necessarily about travel, just something that gives you that restless feeling like you should be on a train at night, in an airport, or heading somewhere unfamiliar
what song gives you that urge to move?
Everyone knows popular dishes like pizza or sushi, but what’s an underrated food from your country that deserves more global attention?
