Socks at home > barefoot, anyone else?
I know some people prefer being barefoot. But for me, a good pair of socks just feels more comfortable. Especially softer ones for home. Feels more relaxed somehow.

Toe socks are an already niche product, but I'm curious if anyone has any options on primarily hemp or linen types.
Thanks!
I think Adidas looks way cooler on me as a women but on men i kinda Like Nike
My friend and I just had a small disagreement about whether lying with socks on in bed is weird or not. He swears that I’m in the minority and that most people don’t lay in bed with socks on. I tried telling him that plenty of people lay in bed with socks on, and that the only odd thing is sleeping with socks on. What do you all think? Lying in bed with socks on; is it weird or normal?
We’re officially restarting sock manufacturing at Armadillo Woolery.
For those who don’t know us — we’re a firefighter-founded company focused on PFAS-Free / FR-Free Merino wool apparel built for first responders, military, tradesmen, and people who are hard on their gear.
Before we lock in future production runs, we wanted to ask the community directly:
What kind of socks do YOU actually want to see made?
Boot socks?
Hot weather socks?
Cold weather socks?
Compression socks?
Extra-heavy cushion?
No-slip station socks?
Long shift EMS/firehouse socks?
A lot of “performance” socks today are loaded with synthetics and chemical treatments. We’re trying to build something tougher, cleaner, and built for real-world use.
Would genuinely appreciate feedback from firefighters, military, EMS, trades, hikers, runners, or anyone who destroys socks for a living.
Drop your ideas below. We’re listening.
Been putting off getting a proper pair of running socks due to the price but the decathlon ones really doesn't help with the callus at the ball of my foot.
Want something with good cushion and breathable for the SG heat.
Anyone tried toe socks as well? What's your take?
Im a woman with damn near child size feet. US size 6ish & wide. Normal women’s socks are usually too long. I think was buying a boys size medium or large but I can’t remember which. Anyone have recommendations?
About seven years ago, a friend let me borrow a pair of socks and specifically told me to give them back because they were his favorite socks ever. Naturally… I completely forgot to return them.
Fast forward SEVEN YEARS and these things are still going strong. No holes, no stretched-out elastic, no weird thinning spots — honestly the best-made and most comfortable socks I’ve ever worn in my life. At this point I feel like I owe this man reparations.
I’m trying to figure out what brand/manufacturer these socks are so I can buy him a few fresh pairs as a surprise Christmas gift and finally make up for “borrowing” them for the better part of a decade.
If anyone recognizes the logo, stitching pattern, material, style, or anything else about them, I’d seriously appreciate the help. I’ve tried searching myself and gotten nowhere.
The socks are an off white pair with the words “Green Cotton” embroidered in grey on the outside - centered - on the calf. No special heal stitching. Vertical stitching running up the calf every quarter of an inch. They are mid calf socks.
Butchered the description but hope someone can help. Wish I can post a picture.
