Would you actually be happy getting wool socks as a gift, or does that land as a boring present?
Genuine question from someone who buys socks for other people and never knows if it works.
I love getting good socks. But every time I give them, I can't tell whether the person is quietly thinking "socks again" or actually pleased. Wool ones especially, since a decent pair costs real money and the difference between a good and a cheap pair isn't visible in the wrapping.
So: do wool socks land as a real gift for you? And if yes, what makes the difference — the brand on the label, the thickness, the colour being something you'd have picked yourself, or the fact that someone spent more than the usual multipack money?
Also curious whether people care about the exact wool percentage, or whether "warm and doesn't itch" is the whole test.
Socks with a logo on one side
I'm really fussy when it comes to socks, I like to know which one is for my left foot and which one is for my right foot so that the toes don't get stretched.
Because of this I tend to only buy socks that have got a logo on the outside of the calf.
I'm in the UK
Most of the socks from next do this, but I want different socks with a bit of colour. I do have other brands, but I can't remember which brand they wear.
Does anybody know of any brands that have a logo at the top of the sock just on the one side?
Thank you!
Can I cut these threads?
Wearing these inside out since I don’t like those nubs
Petite, wide-calf compression socks?
It’s so hard being short sometimes!
I’m 5’0”, and need wide-calf compression socks for size 9.5 shoes. Everywhere I look, their medium size socks are for 5’6”+.
Normally, I don’t worry about petite length socks, because I wear ankle socks. 😁 But when wearing knee-high compression socks, it makes a big difference!
Any short girls have a favorite place for socks? Or do you just fold them down/scrunch them a little?
Which socks you are using
Which brand socks you are using ?How is the comfort and price .
Triggered by socks
I have fibromyalgia and I’ve realized recently that I absolutely cannot tolerate tight socks. By the end of the day, I feel like someone has been trying to pull my toenails out with pliers, and then the aching pain keeps me up and a lack of sleep sends me into a spiral for days.
I’ve been wearing wide toe box shoes but it absolutely doesn’t help if you wear tight socks. Can anyone recommend a brand of socks that are affordable and not too tight on your toes? Do diabetic socks work?
Any help is appreciated!
Upgrades people
After many years of the same socks and lasted me a long time. They are all showing signs of wear and getting holes etc. I wanna replace all my socks but which socks do I pick, just feet do get sweaty and I am on my feet at work all day at a factory.
I think it's best if I get 7 pairs of socks for work and 7 for home. Or does that even matter and I can just get 14 of the same brand of socks just a different type.
So could you recommend me socks you think worked for you or brands you recommend.
what brand are these??
They just appeared in my sock drawer at some point and I want more of them.
