wool sock suggestions?

so i usualy never wear socks in house, i don't like how its all slippery and those grippy circles under some socks are hell and i would rather walk on lego. my feet are also so sensitive that i can feel the edge of where the normal sock is and where the heel pad part is if its not positioned right...

the problem is, my room gets very cold at night, like at least 4°C colder than the rest of the house, like i can feel the warm air when i walk outside.

i heard that wool is very good for insulation and very warm but idk about the texture. all the wool socks i see online have these patterns on it and if i can feel that trough the sock when im trying to walk on it i would rather jump out the window....

so my question is, does anyone know where i can find good comfy wool socks for the winter??

tips for a kids first comic con?

So this November im taking my little brother (5yo) for his first comic con. he's gonna be dressed up as Spider-Man cause thats his favorite character and my plan was to take him to one of those meet ups where he cab see a bunch of people dressed like Spider-Man.

cause its my first time taking him i wanted to ask if someone has experience with bringing kids to cons to give me some tips to make it more comfortable and fun for him. i already thought about the basics of bringing snacks and water/juice so we dont have to wait in the queues if he needs something but is there anything else in your experience that can help make the day as fun as possible?

Our dad is also coming with us but its also his first con, I've been 2 times before, so any advice is appreciated 🙏

also if you know where i can find where people organize those costume meet ups would be great!!

mask tips?

i want to make a mask fitted around my head for a cosplay but i have no idea how to go about this. my only paper mache experience was in elementary school where we made a hot air balloon by gluing paper onto a balloon and then popping it so the inside is hollow... I'd rather not pop my head to get it off so how do i go about this??

i know its probably best to do it in sections but what do i glue it on to? does baking paper work like it does with iron on beads??

how do i put to together after getting all the parts made and how can i make sure its strong enough not to break???

i really wanna do this but i have no idea how, so here i am asking the experts for help 🙏 i dont need a full tutorial, i can (probably) figure most of it out but just some starting tips would help a lot!!!

affordable face shell?

so im looking to make a DYI Cassandra Cain cosplay but im kinda broke so im looking for cheap stuff to make it. i found a full black bodysuit and yellow-ish utility belt already and im planning to make the logo with transfer paper on the bodysuit

the main problem is the mask, yea there are a lot of options on etsy and i found some good ones but those are €75 at the cheapest which i very much dont have.... i just need the base and lenses so i can make the rest of the mask with fabric myself, im planning to combine the mask and cape together with just one piece of large fabric.

does anyone know an affordable place to get a face shell? preferably under €40, cheaper is better!! it doesnt need to be good quality, just needs to survive a cosplay weekend and test wearing.

or if anyone knows an easy way to DIY the face shell too please let me know!
