I (M19) have been seeing this girl (F19) for the past few months. I like her A LOT. The thing is, her past boyfriend died not long before I met her, who happens to be one of my best friends. We started talking as I sent her a message to check up on her, we had some nice conversations about memories with him. Some time passes and we start hanging out a lot, sometimes multiple times a week. We talk all the time every day, tell each other how much we miss the other, get each other thoughtful gifts, she literally made a painting for me, remembering the little things, always check up on each other and call each other sweet nicknames, send good morning/good night messages every single day and basically live at each others houses, showers together, being pretty comfortable and well liked around each others families. I even cried in her arms a few times. I really like her, even a few “I love you”’s have been exchanged in certain moments - e.g the morning after I stayed up all night caring for her after she had a panic attack. But we’ve also had conversations based around the fact that we’re not dating, even though we’ve admitted to each other we wouldn’t like it if the other ended up getting with someone else, so I guess we’re kind of exclusive? But still not dating. She’s literally said to me “I would never turn my back on you baby”. Im obsessed with this girl and have known her for long enough to know that Im ready for a commitment to take care of all of her needs, but I don’t know if or when to ask her, or if she needs more time which in this situation is understandable, I have been extremely considerate of her loss and im debating whether I should stop fantasising about the whole thing.
