So...How did Gondor expect Saruman to defend Isengard?

I know that Saruman asked Gondor to defend Isengard for them because Gondor do not have enough resource to defend it. But how did Gondor expect Saruman, a lonely wizard, to have enough resource to defend this whole fortress? At this point Saruman did not have his Uruk Hai, so he did not have any army. He also do not seem to possessed money to raise one?

Maybe he can somehow keep Isengard, but then how did they expect him to prevent the Dunlending from just bypass it? An army inside Isengard can march out and attack anyone dare to cross the fortress or cut their supply line, but how did they expect Saruman to do it alone?

Where was Amun worshipped first?

I know that before rose into position of supreme god in all Egypt, Amun was the chief god of Thebes (Waset). But in Hermopolis (Khemenu), Amun is also regard as 1 of 8 main gods (the Ogdoad). So i wonder where was he worshipped first, in Hermopolis as 1 of the Ogdoad, or in Waset as the chief of Theban Triad?

What happened when players use up the 'resources' the background gave them

I am new to the system, and I have a question about backgrounds. Many backgrounds gave characters gears and equipments with a limited uses, so what happen if they use up all of that? I think if play a short camp, this would not be a problem, but what about a longer campaign?

For example, Fungal Forager have strange fungus that they discover, but after they use up that fungus, can they wander around in some weird location to forage a new fungus?

Sprout Lore vs Monsters

So, everything start with what to do when players trigger the move Spout Lore with the object is the monster they fight. According to the guidebook, on a 10 + the DM reveal an useful information, and on a 7-9, it is an interest information, but not directly useful.

Then, i try to homebrew some monster, and i kind of thing about it- creating a monster in Dungeon World is quite easy, but anytime my players trigger Spout Lore on the monster, especially when the result is 7-9, i have to improvise something to say (even in the wiki said the GM should be the one prepared that. And from there, i think of make a kind of Monster Manual with my homebrew monsters, but with each one of them, i would suggest some informations go with the monsters: one useful fact may contain weakness or similar thing, some fun fact about them, and maybe a category of wrong information to feed players when they roll 6-, and they must act according to that wrong information as if they fully believe in it.

What do you think?

What if....

Percy use The List to kill Delilah in season 1? We also know that whoever be killed by the List have their soul taken by Orthax and imprisoned within his own realm. So in this case, can the Whispered One resurrect Delilah?

And another case is that if Percy use the List to kill Delilah right near the Orb instead of dragged her down, would 'the curse' in the List still function, allowed Orthax to take soul of Delilah? Or what would happened?

PERCY IS NOT A GOOD TACTICIAN

Well, after season 1, when everyone get power upgrade with Vestige or unlocked new thing to do, the show make Percy shifted into the role of the tactician of the group while not every any big power (so, basically Batman of the group, if Batman can only use Batarang and 1 medium arsenal). But the thing is, i feel like that is not even impressed, because unlike Batman, Percy is not even showed as a good tactician.

In the fight against Thordak, they said things like ‘if Percy was here he can come up with a plan- but in reality he is not better at planning than anyone in the team. Through entire 3 seasons, the only times his plan actually working is against Ripley and managed to beat an ooze monster in the Fey realm. Any other big plans he have fall apart very quickly- like the trap against Umbrasyl- yes, it managed to put him down for a while, but after they make Umbrasyl have healing power, the entire prior fight, including Percy’s trap, is meaningless. The heist into Cobalt Soul vault is a disaster completely. And even if we count the fight against Ripley, it cannot prove that he is better at tactic than anyone in the term, as all of them had shown to be able to pull some trick to win a villain (Keyleth tactic against Raishan, Vex quickthinking defeat 2 big boss- vorugal and kevdak,...).

People keep saying ‘intelligence is the best superpower’ and cite character as Batman, but it only works because we see Batman’s plan work out successfully, and consistently. We know Batman is a good tactician, not because other characters said it, it is because we see his plan managed to win against Justice League, or other big bad. But Percy is showed to be only an average planner among his own team.

So I think if they still put him in this role, they should really make his plans work out in the last season, or let him switch entirely to ‘scientist role’ like Reed to invent the solution, bring out big tech weapon that can go toe to toe against magic. Right now he is stuck between being a quite-well engineer with invention just enough to survive the fight and a mid-level tactician whose plan only work out 1 out of 3 time.

How to win against opponent defend the city?

Hello, i am a new player, and this come from mostly my experience in battle against other players around my elo level.

So, when map have cities in the middle, i always choose to rush my skirmish, some infantry and major of artillery into the city before opponents. In all 4 or 5 game i played that scenario happened, all opponents could not manage to attack my force inside the city, and i win all games when that scenario happened.

My question is that are there any other way to fight in maps that have cities other than rush to take city before opponents like i do? And in the case if enemy manage to take the cities first with a significant force, how can you defeat them?
