This is the kind of press I really like. Got this low grade for $10 bucks. It has a lot of easily press able defects. Add a little value to the book real quick. Would have been even better if those were spine ticks that could have come out, but as you see, they are just color breaking creases.
If anyone can give some advice on how to get more of that top right crease out, please do. It only breaks a little color.
Just thought it was funny that after I pressed my #20, it now has less damage than my 19 and other issues that have this shitty spine wear. Which is a lot of them!!
So I thought this was really funny. Sometimes... a lot of times, it's hard to find absolute books that don't have this spine wear...
So I pressed #20, and that's the remaining damage.
And that's my #19 not pressed, not that it would matter
Just some little tics that came out. Took a couple of minutes to do all with my tack iron. I did go through every issue and get the ones with the least color break.
Here are some examples of the damage on the #20s. Yes, every issue at my shop was similar to these 3. But I pressed all 3 in like 5 minutes with my tack iron, and they came out. I still need to press the printing rolls out like every other issue, but the damage wasn't a big deal.
Is it just me, or is this a terribly ugly cover? And it's a 1:100!!! That's wild to me.
I thought this would be cool to see them all together, but all it did was make me regret not buying every open order variant starting at issue #1!!!!!
