How do you say "It could be worse" in modern Greek?

Ancient Greek saying would also be very welcome. Asking for a friend, or, I'm trying to come up with the country's new motto.

"There are many situations which arise out of the phenomenon of craving which cause men to make the supreme sacrifice rather than continue to fight.

"The classification of [gambling addicts] seems most difficult, and in much detail is outside the scope of this book. There are, of course, the psychopaths who are emotionally unstable. We are all familiar with this type. They are always "going on the wagon for keeps." They are over-remorseful and make many resolutions, but never a decision."

Psychopathy is strongly linked to problematic gambling due to high impulsivity, reckless risk-taking, and a lack of empathy. Individuals high in psychopathy often persist in gambling despite losses, using deceptive behaviors. They tend to ignore negative consequences, often leading to severe financial, social, and legal issues, including fraud.

Key Connections Between Psychopathy and Gambling

  • Persistent Risk-Taking: Individuals with psychopathic traits often continue gambling despite financial loss and potential punishment, driven by a disregard for consequences.
  • Secondary Psychopathy (Urgency): Secondary psychopathy (associated with emotional reactivity and impulsivity) is a strong predictor of gambling problems because these individuals tend to act recklessly when distressed.
  • Primary Psychopathy (Lack of Strategy): Primary psychopathy (marked by charm and lack of empathy) correlates with a failure to use protective strategies, such as setting limits on time or money spent gambling.
  • Selfish/Antisocial Behavior: Psychopaths are more likely to engage in "antisocial" gambling, such as using money belonging to others or in situations involving deception.
  • Reduced Inhibition: Neuroscientific findings suggest psychopaths have a heightened, yet different, response to rewards, which can create a compulsive drive for money or status through gambling.

Gambling and Personality Disorder Link
Pathological gambling often co-occurs with, or shares traits with, Cluster B personality disorders, which include antisocial personality disorder (often closely related to psychopathy). These individuals are less likely to respond to standard addiction treatment due to their callous and impulsive nature.

The new iOS is such a joy to use and the thin 13” tandem OLED is incredible. Since I own a few other Apple devices, I decided to disable Apple Mail, Messages and FaceTime and use the device exclusively for various forms of creativity and entertainment. It’s really nice having a device where I basically can’t be reached. I wasn’t expecting the jump to Pro to be so impactful. I previously owned an M1 Air that I didn’t really like all that much.

In the context of signing-off on an email, where some things were stated, and you are seeking a reply. Relatively professional context would be preferred.
